The state of Hawaii has verified President Barack Obama's birth records to Arizona's elections chief after a nearly three-month back and forth that Arizona officials said could have ended without the incumbent's name on its November ballot. Joshua Wisch, special assistant to Hawaii Attorney General David Louie, told The Associated Press late Tuesday that the matter is resolved after Hawaii gave Arizona the verification it was looking for. Arpaio said health officials in Hawaii refused to talk to his deputy and posse investigator on Monday, though an assistant attorney general came out to talk to the investigators. "They won't have...

Two men who identified themselves as being from the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office in Phoenix went to the Hawaii Department of Health Monday morning requesting verification of President Barack Obama's birth certificate, said a state spokeswoman. A Hawaii deputy attorney general gave the men information concerning the legal requirements to obtain such a document; the requirements are posted on the Health Department's website. The two men then left the office, Health Department spokeswoman Janice Okubo said. The two men showed Maricopa County Sheriff's Office badges and identified themselves as Michael Zullo and Brian Mackiewcz, Okubo said. They are "authorized by...

In a major development in his probe of Barack Obama’s eligibility for Arizona’s 2012 presidential ballot, Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio has dispatched his lead Cold Case Posse investigator and a deputy detective to Hawaii. The mission to Obama’s purported birthplace comes as the Hawaii Department of Health continues to resist efforts by Arizona Secretary of State Ken Bennett to verify that the Honolulu agency has a valid birth certificate on file for Obama.

Dr. Jerome Corsi was the first guest on tonight's Bill Cunningham Radio Program on the Premier Radio Network and he spent about 20 minutes talking about the Obama literary agency biography and other eligibility-related issues. The presence of this topic was a bit surprising, as Cunningham has previously been dismissive and condescending of these questions, instead towing the line that Obama was politically misguided but nonetheless a nice guy and good family man who was clearly eligible to be president [Article II Section 1 be damned!]. Much of his appearance covered the basics of these questions, but Dr. Corsi did...

A state official in Arizona has asked Hawaii for verification of the information on Barack Obama’s birth certificate, the document that Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s special investigative team has concluded may be a forgery. Members of the Surprise, Ariz., Tea Party, who petitioned Arpaio to investigate Obama’s eligibility, say they are awaiting word from the state secretary of state regarding whether Obama’s name will be on the 2012 presidential ballot in Arizona. Secretary of State Ken Bennett had promised to ask Hawaii officials for verification of Obama’s documentation, vowing that if answers are not forthcoming, Obama’s name will not be on...

The chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee wants Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. to find out if taxpayer dollars received by Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s office through a federal grant program were used by his deputies to illegally detain Hispanics whom the government alleges were the victims of racial profiling. If so, Sen. Patrick J. Leahy of Vermont, wants the Justice Department to consider ways of getting the money back - a total that could exceed $25 million. “I urge the department to take all appropriate steps to determine whether taxpayer dollars - have been used in connection with the...

by John HillStand With Arizona “They caught the wrong Sheriff on this matter.”Those seven words should have sent the message loud and clear to the Obama administration that they are in for a tough, and potentially embarrassing fight against "America's Toughest Sheriff" Joe Arpaio. Arpaio, who has become the nation's most prominent symbol in the fight against illegal immigration, appeared on the Mike Broomhead show on KFYI in his first interview since being officially served with a suit by the Obama administration’s Justice Department. Did you know that one of the reasons for the federal lawsuit against Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio was Obama political campaign strategy? Don't take my word for it. This assertion has been made by the Huffington Post editorial director Howard Fineman in his story excusing negative Obama campaign strategy by claiming they are merely taking pages from the GOP playbook: Wedge Issues. The phrase is often misused. It means forcing the other party to defend an idea, policy or person in such a way that it divides the other party's base. The classic example, used for years if not decades...

On page 2 of the 32-page complaint, filed yesterday in U.S. District Court in Phoenix, the Department of Justice references "insensitive" emails sent by MCSO employees. The prima fascie evidence? PHOENIX (AP) -- Federal authorities sued America's self-proclaimed toughest sheriff Thursday after months of negations failed to yield an agreement to settle allegations that his department racially profiled Latinos in his trademark immigration patrols. The U.S. Department of Justice lawsuit marked an escalation in the agency's civil rights investigation of Joe Arpaio and puts the dispute on track to be decided by a federal judge.

Here we go. Ever since Obama took office, opponents of illegal immigration knew it would come to this. This Administration has already dismantled the enforcement regime against illegal aliens. They engineered a unilateral amnesty for nearly 2 million illegal aliens by a stroke of Obama's pen last August. They sued to stop states like Arizona, Alabama and Georgia from enforcing existing immigration laws after the Feds failed to do so. The Attorney General has bullied states like Texas and South Carolina, by blocking voter ID laws designed to stop voter fraud by illegal aliens and others. But no matter what...

The New Hampshire Senate yesterday joined the House in passing a resolution (full text below) proclaiming that "the state of New Hampshire fully supports the State of Arizona’s right to protect its borders and citizens" by passing its immigration law S.B. 1070. The resolution's path to passage was very contentious, with opponents testifying hysterically against it in both chambers, and Democrats trying all manner of procedural gimmicks to try and derail it - all in vain. Changes in the wording of Selective Service System record-keeping requirements, made days after the opening of an investigation into the alleged forgery of President Barack Obama’s selective service registration form, raise serious questions about U.S. Government intentions. The new rules allow existing copies of documents that may be sought by investigators to be destroyed. The Selective Service System’s new privacy rules were published in the Federal Register on Tuesday, September 20, 2011, four days after the September 16 announcement by World Net Daily that the Maricopa County (Arizona) Sheriff’s Office “Cold Case Posse” was opening an inquiry with full subpoena...

by John HillStand With Arizona It's been a busy week for Sheriff Joe Arpaio and his Maricopa County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) deputies, as they have captured 49 illegal aliens being smuggled into the U.S. in multi-point sweeps across the region over the past 5 days, including 15 arrested this morning alone. And as in nearly 80% of such cases involving MCSO, most of the illegals were headed for states other than Arizona. On Tuesday afternoon, sheriff's detectives were investigating two vehicles near Fountain Hills for human smuggling. The first vehicle contained 10 illegal aliens, including the coyote, which were heading...

Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio finds himself under increasing attack as he prepares to release new findings in his investigation of President Obama’s eligibility for the state’s 2012 election ballot. “I have no intention of resigning,” said Arpaio, who is running for his sixth term as sheriff of Maricopa County. “They forget I have a four-decades long career in federal law enforcement that includes having been a special agent for the FBI and having worked for the Drug Enforcement Agency in the United States, as well as in Argentina, Turkey and Mexico.”
