St. Poelten. Public prosecutors have reopened investigations into the mysterious death of a trainee priest from the seminary in St. Poelten at the heart of a recent child porn scandal. The body of 53-year-old Ewald S. was recovered from the Old Danube lake in Vienna in October 2003. A Visit to Ecône After the Credo Holy Year Pilgrimage I returned to Ecône with the seminarians, travelling on the all-night train from Rome and arriving on the morning of Tuesday, 27 May. The account which follows is my personal impression of Ecône. It will, I hope, convey however inadequately something of the spirit of the Seminary. 2 Seminarians Reported Killed in Rebel Attack MANILA, Philippines.- A seminary rector in the southern Philippines reported that two seminarians were among some 25 people killed, when suspected Muslim rebels attacked a remote coastal town. Father Gregorio Canonigo, rector of Cor Jesu Seminary in Dipolog City, told UCA News that two seminarians were killed Sunday in the pre-dawn attack on Siocon, 60 kilometers (37 miles) further south.
