Republican South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham provided a slew of updates about the Senate Judiciary Committee’s investigation into Crossfire Hurricane on Sunday and teased “damning” revelations that he said will soon be made public. “There’s a day of reckoning,” Graham said in an interview on Fox News “Sunday Morning Futures.” The revelation marks a major development in the investigation into the origins of the dossier, which was funded by the Clinton campaign and DNC. Graham said Sunday that “there’s something else coming more damning than this, believe it or not.” The South Carolina Republican hinted that additional documents related to...

With settlement efforts gaining pace, Egypt has proved capable of mediating between the opposing sides in Libya, though it had thrown its weight behind the eastern forces fighting the Tripoli-based Government of National Accord (GNA) and its Misratan allies, which Turkey has backed with military, intelligence and militia support. Ankara's rigid attitude in the conflict has reduced its clout to influence over only its allies. And the infighting in the GNA presents a further risk to Turkish interests in the upcoming settlement process. In other words, Turkey has failed to preserve the advantage it gained through its scale-tipping military...

When Soviet scientists developed a new group of nerve agents in the 1970s and ’80s, they called it Novichok, or “newcomer.” The lethal cocktail acts as a cholinesterase inhibitor, blocking an enzyme the nervous system needs to function. The poison disrupts communication between nerves and muscles. The Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons added Novichock to a list of banned chemical toxins in 2019 after Britain accused Russian agents of using it to poison a former Russian operative and his daughter a year earlier. The Kremlin denied the allegations. Berlin’s Charité hospital said in late August that another Russian...

The Justice Department has released a pair of documents casting fresh doubt on the judgment of senior law enforcement officials who investigated possible links between Russia and the Trump campaign in 2016, showing that one of the FBI case agents thought prosecutors were out to “get Trump” and that a key source of allegations against the president had been previously investigated as a possible Russian asset. The disclosures come as President Trump and his allies await the results of an investigation by Connecticut U.S. Attorney John Durham into how U.S. intelligence agencies examined Russian election interference four years ago. Instead,...

Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu has slammed U.S. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi for likening Turkey to North Korea and Russia as she accused U.S. President Donald Trump of admiring the leaders of these countries. “Speaker Pelosi’s rise to become Speaker of the House is what is truly worrisome for American democracy, given her blatant ignorance. You will learn to respect the Turkish people’s will,” Çavuşoğlu tweeted on Sept. 25 as he tagged Trump’s official Twitter account handle. In a statement on Sept. 24, Pelosi slammed Trump for not accepting a peaceful transition of power should he lose the presidential...

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has apologized for the death of a South Korean government worker who was shot dead by North Korean troops after crossing a maritime border between the two countries. In a letter sent to South Korea's Blue House Friday morning, North Korea said units responded to a call that an unidentified male was found floating on an object in the sea. The letter claims about 10 rounds were fired at the man after he did not comply with a soldier's demand to identify himself and subsequent warning shots. North Korea says only a pool of...

When Hunter Biden took that $3.5 million in money transfers from Yelena Baturina, Russia's richest woman, the media lapsed into sudden incuriosity, very bizarre, given that it spent four years yelling about President Trump and his supposed "Russian collusion." Here was real Russian collusion and the blue-checks went blue-screen. Miranda Devine at the New York Post has some excellent observations on that here. The corruption watchers in the U.S. government, though, didn't -- bells and alarms went off -- which is why a record of this activity, obtainable by the Senate in its damning interim report, is there at all. According to the New York Post:...

A sub-source used to compile the so-called Steele Dossier, a controversial opposition research document against then-candidate Donald Trump, was previously the subject of an FBI counterintelligence investigation, Attorney General William Barr disclosed in a letter released on Thursday. The detail was previously redacted from a footnote in Justice Department inspector general Michael Horowitz's 2019 report on four Foreign Intelligence Surveillance, or FISA, court warrant applications. But U.S. Attorney John Durham, tapped by Barr to review the origins of the FBI's Russia probe, signed off on Barr releasing the detail to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), who is doing...

The Department of Justice’s (DOJ) probe into the origins of the Russia investigation is also looking into how the FBI handled allegations of political corruption at the Clinton Foundation, sources told The New York Times. Attorney General William Barr appointed U.S. Attorney John Durham to lead the investigation. He reportedly sought documents and interviews about how federal law enforcement officials handled an investigation into the Clinton Foundation, a nonprofit led by former President Bill Clinton and former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. Sources told the Times that Durham is comparing the FBI’s investigation into alleged bribery at the Clinton Foundation...

Hunter Biden’s financial dealings with Ukrainian, Russian and Chinese businesses created potential “criminal financial, counterintelligence and extortion concerns,” according to a report by two Senate committees. The report details a series of wire transfers between Biden and a businessman with extensive ties to the Chinese Communist Party. The report, written by the Senate Homeland Security and Senate Finance committees, also states that State Department officials repeatedly raised concerns about Hunter Biden’s work for Burisma Holdings. One official testified that he told Joe Biden in October 2015 that his son’s links to Burisma “enabled Russian disinformation efforts.” U.S. banks flagged suspicious...
