GREENSBORO, N.C. — The man accused of pointing a rifle into the golf course where former President Donald Trump was playing last weekend, was known in his hometown as something of a bad actor. “Weird” is how one of Ryan Routh’s former neighbors in Greensboro described him. She told reporters he once had a horse in his house and that he also kept guns. A man, who like the first neighbor asked not to be identified for fear of being associated with Routh, says he didn’t know the 58 year old well but got a similar vibe. “I mean, [he]...

Hello Freepers that live in Hurricane areas. I live in the Midwest and we've experienced high winds this year to the point where I had some ridge shingles taken off. Assuming I'll have to replace my roof in the near future, looking for recommendations on what folks use if they're in the hurricane areas as you sustain high winds for prolonged periods of times. I live in a neighborhood where we can't use shake/fake shake type of roofing material. Maybe metal with an asphalt look to it but for the most part, everyone has to use the architectural asphalt shingles.

A Florida roofing company is offering a special for anyone pulling the trigger over Thanksgiving — a free frozen turkey and an AR-15 assault rifle. “The turkey will get you all sitting at the table so you can spend time together. The roof will protect your home, and the AR-15 will protect your family,” Jason Polly, president of Roof EZ in Cape Coral, told WESH. Polly said he got the birdbrained idea after seeing a business offer the same deal in Alabama.

The work crew had started ripping off the roof of Belinda Hungate's home in Spring Hill on February 20 when she was woken by the noise. She then confronted the crew, but she said that they didn't speak English. . . . 'They did not speak English. The sub-contractor is from Honduras. No business cards, no contractors license,' her husband Philip Hungate told DailyMail.com. 'My wife called me at work in a panic saying there were guys on the roof and they were tearing things off.'

Just wondering if someone here on FR could give an estimate as to how much this would cost to repair. I had a home inspection done on a house I am planning on buying. The inspector downplayed this but this will be out of my pocket to repair and I paid more than I wanted to for the house and that was based on everything being perfect without the need to repair anything structurally.

About ten days ago, I spoke with New Hampshire State Representative Al Baldassaro about the events surrounding the case of Gerard Beloin. I spoke to him mainly about a New Hampshire Executive Council meeting that Beloin attended and spoke at, but we also spoke about some of the background that surrounded Beloin's appearance there. Baldassaro has known Beloin for more than two years. It was back in 2007 when Gerard Beloin shared a series of recordings with Baldassaro. On these recordings, there are discussions of murder, conspiracy, extortion, kickbacks, arson, as well other crimes. Upon hearing the recordings and other...

Introduction: I will try and do my best to summarize the twists and turns of this very confusing tale her. That said, if you get confused, here is part one and part two of this story. If you read each, you will wind up back here. On February 27th, Gerard Beloin walked into the Hillsboro County Court House. He was there in regards to a civil dispute that he had with St. Lawrence Church. He walked through the metal detector and then dropped off his computer bag for the same. In his computer bag was a gun which was set...

Gerard Beloin has been a roofer for more than two decades. In 2002, he was one of several roofers to place a bid on the new roofing project in the neighboring town of Goffstown, New Hampshire for their local high school Goffstown High School. In preparing for his bid, he examined the roof. He noticed that the roof was not only not up to code, but dangerously close to collapsing. The roof was made of tectum decking. This material is strong when it is first installed however tectum becomes weak when exposed to water.(page 5 number 3 explains the potential...

The results of the 2006 midterm election will affect roofing industry issues by Craig S. Brightup The 2006 election results confirmed pre-election speculation that a national sense of disappointment with Republicans, referred to as a political "wave," would remove GOP officeholders on Capitol Hill in competitive "swing" districts. Compounding this were races in districts that normally vote heavily Republican but where GOP incumbents were so flawed ethically that neither they nor replacements on the ballot could hold the seats. Other Republicans who lost were public servants with high ethical standards who simply were dragged down by the political undertow. For...

I need help finding sources of flexible solar power panels that (a) are shingle replacements, or (b) fit in the channels of **residential** ribbed metal roofs. I am specifically NOT looking for the old-fashioned boxed panels. These need to be 'architecturally' and aesthetically attractive. A kind FReeper pointed me to a source once before but I lost that thread. Any and all links are appreciated. Many thanks, Blueflag
