In a report posted on the website Atlantic Free Press, Code Pink leader Medea Benjamin claims that a high-ranking Democrat staffer demanded the immediate release of the protesters who were arrested at yesterday's House hearing where Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice was assaulted by a Code Pink protester.Benjamin, who was also arrested by Capitol Police outside the hearing room, wrote this morning that, "The Deputy Chief of Staff of the House Foreign Relations Committee contacted the Capitol Police later in the day to again relay that their (sic) is a policy of that committee to not arrest Citizen (sic) protesters...
