Deputies estimate that they've seized between 7,000 and 10,000 stolen guns from a house and warehouse near Pageland. Deputies have arrested Brent Nicholson in connection to the stolen goods. Chesterfield County Sheriff Jay Brooks says the seized guns, ammunition, and hundreds of other items were all found on a single property off of Highway 9 outside of Pageland city limits. Brooks says the guns alone filled one tractor trailer and ammunition filled another. Nicholson was arrested and charged with trafficking opium and heroin, earlier in the week in Union County. CHICAGO — Chicago police say a group of robbers have been using fake road blocks to attack drivers. This is happening in the Fuller Park neighborhood on the South Side. It’s happened twice in the last five days in the 300 and 400 blocks of west 51st Street, around 6 p.m. After drivers stop to move a construction barrel blocking the street, three or four suspects start attacking and robbing them. Police have only released vague descriptions of the suspects.

The owner of a Rocky Mount convenience store shot and wounded one of three men suspected of trying to rob the store Sunday night, according to Rocky Mount police. Three men entered Mix Mart at 1522 S. Church St. about 9 p.m. police said. Two of the men were armed with handguns while the third suspect attempted to rob the 43-year-old man, but the store owner pulled a handgun and the two groups fired multiple shots at one another, police said. The three suspects then fled the scene.

An armed security guard opened fire on would-be robbers early Tuesday at a Melbourne, Florida, Internet café, striking one of them, police said. Three armed individuals burst into the Allied Veterans of the World arcade on Babcock Street about 4 a.m. to rob the business, Melbourne police said.
