A slight majority of Republicans said they want to see a “fresh face” run for President in 2024, while one-third indicated they would like to see “a candidate who has already run in the past,” says a December 21-2 poll by Rasmussen Reports. The question in the poll of 1,000 likely voters offered room for still-mourning Republicans to show support for a 2024 candidate younger than departing President Donald Trump, who would turn 78 during the 2024 race, and turn 82 in 2028.
