Ayesha A. Siddiqi @AyeshaASiddiqi: people keep talking about American electoralism as if this is a legitimate nation with a legitimate governing body… flat earthers have more dignity. Jan 15, 2025. https://x.com/AyeshaASiddiqi/status/1879629066158117339 Archived

ABC News Chicago broadcasted tips to illegal foreigners on how to evade ICE. ICE is looking for criminals and terrorists. They are aiding and abetting illegal criminal migrants. The host in the clip below said ICE is targeting schools and churches when they are targeting foreign criminals. After preying on people’s sympathies, ABC News shifted to Gov. Pritzker, complaining that ICE was looking for 2,000 illegal foreigners to begin with. He knows they are likely criminals.

Wednesday on ABC’s “The View” co-host Joy Behar told Washington, D.C. Episcopal Bishop Mariann Budde that she was “more fearlessness than anyone in Congress right now.” Tuesday at the National Prayer Service, Budde said, “I ask you to have mercy upon the people in our country who are scared now. There are gay, lesbian, and transgender children in Democratic, Republican, and independent families, some who fear for their lives. And the people, the people who pick our crops and clean our office buildings who labor in poultry farms and meatpacking plants who wash the dishes after we eat in restaurants...

MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace said Monday on “Deadline” that President Donald Trump has kicked off his second term by “issuing a challenge to the 14th Amendment of the United States Constitution.” Wallace said, “I guess we’ll start here. Buckle up, the country and the world are now experiencing what this is like. The first hours of the second Trump presidency happening right now. Donald Trump is at the U.S. Capitol. Soon he will head to that rally inside Capital One Arena. It’s happening in place of the Inaugural Parade because of bitterly cold temperatures. Donald Trump is expected to take...

Left-wing cable news channel MSNBC is back to foaming at the mouth about Donald Trump. Anchors Rachel Maddow and Joy Reid went off the deep-end while covering Inauguration Day, both aghast at the prospect of a democratically elected president making good on his policy promises that decisively swept him into office. “How is this happening in America?” Maddow asked incredulously at the sight of Department of Homeland Security nominee Kristi Noem seated beside Apple CEO Tim Cook at the inauguration ceremony, Mediaite reported. “How is this happening? Why are people with tons of money up on the dais with cabinet...

MSNBC host Joy Reid said Monday during the inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump that it was tough to watch the “takeover of the United States by a base mentality of greed and corruption.” Reid said, “The promise of the incoming administration is to wipe away the civic memory of Washington, to get rid of and to fire all of the people who normally transition as civil servants from one administration to the next. The promises on the table are 200 some odd executive actions, an attempt to get rid of birthright citizenship, an attempt to do mass deportation.”

Poor Jon Meacham. The resident Morning Joe historian and occasional Biden speechwriter was in a decidedly dark and depressed mood on this Inauguration Day. Just look at the guy! Meacham was down on the United States in general, claiming that "for 250 years, [America] more often than not has gotten things wrong." And he was down on Trump in particular. Meacham compared, albeit via a John Belushi line, Trump's impending presidency to the bombing of Pearl Harbor. Meacham addressed himself to his fellow Trump detesters. He warned them that the days ahead will be "hard" and "depleting," and acknowledged that...

MSNBC host Chris Hayes said Monday during President Donald Trump’s inaugural address that he seemed like “the cult leader taking a mulligan and telling you paradise is around the corner again.” Hayes said, “I remember being in that on that stage right next to President Barack Obama during that very, very cold morning. And the two inaugurations of Barack Obama and Joe Biden happened at moments of palpable, ubiquitous, and severe crisis, the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression, the worst pandemic in 100 years. I mean, thousands of Americans dying by the day, America not knowing whether the...

CBS is considering settling a $10 billion lawsuit brought by Trump over its deceptively edited ’60 Minutes’ interview with Kamala Harris. CBS executives are reportedly worried ongoing litigation with President Trump will interfere with a merger with Skydance. “Paramount, owner of CBS, its namesake studio and several cable channels, has a major piece of business in front of the new administration: its planned merger with Skydance Media,” The Wall Street Journal reported. “It’s become clear to executives at both companies that Trump’s dissatisfaction with CBS News will make the review tougher than they anticipated, and that they’ll likely need to...

Climate change has played a major role in the unprecedented wildfires that are raging through Southern California. Five wildfires -- the Palisades, Eaton, Hurst, Woodley and Lidia fires -- were burning through Ventura and Los Angeles counties on Wednesday. At least five people have been killed and several others injured by the disaster, according to officials.

Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah., took NBC News to task for "selectively omitting" a key part of the 14th Amendment in a question about birthright citizenship during an interview with President-elect Donald Trump on Sunday… "All persons born … in the United States, *and subject to the jurisdiction thereof,* shall be citizens of the United States," Lee wrote on X, highlighting the missing words in asterisks. "Those words matter," he added. The senator continued to break down the issue in a lengthy 12-part thread. "Congress has the power to define what it means to be born in the United States ‘and...

JUST IN: MSNBC host Joy Reid says the media has "said all they can" to help Kamala Harris before doing a whole segment on how Trump is like Hitler & Mussolini. The propagandist compared Trump to every historical dictator she could think of in the bizarre meltdown. "We begin our final sprint having arrived at that point in the election season where basically we, on this side of the TV screen have said, all we can, we've laid out the stakes in this crucial election where one side stands for freedom while the other meets the textbook definition of fascism."...

NBC aired a 90-second Trump ad during NASCAR on Sunday in response to complaints about Kamala Harris’ last-minute appearance on Saturday Night Live, which appeared to violate the FCC’s Equal Time Rule. Kamala Harris made a surprise appearance on Saturday Night Live, sparking claims it violated “Equal Time” rules that dictate a licensed broadcaster using public airwaves must give equal air time to a qualified candidate ahead of an election. “This is a clear and blatant effort to evade the FCC’s Equal Time rule. The purpose of the rule is to avoid exactly this type of biased and partisan conduct...

Filing triggers 'Equal Time' requirement, but will be difficult to meet in time for Tuesday election NBC acknowledged giving Vice President Kamala Harris free air time on this weekend’s “Saturday Night Live” program. The “Equal Time” filing with the Federal Communications Commission, however, was made Sunday evening, probably too late for equal time to be given to Ms. Harris’ rivals. “Kamala Harris, the Democratic candidate for president in the 2024 national election, appeared without charge on NBC’s ’Saturday Night Live’ (SNL) for a total period of 1 minute and 30 seconds on November 2, 2024,” the network states in its...

Vice President Kamala Harris will make a surprise appearance during this week’s episode of “Saturday Night Live,” an insider exclusively told The Post. Harris will appear during the show’s traditional, politics-skewing cold open, the tipster said. “It’s all been hush-hush,” the source told The Post Saturday afternoon during the final weekend before Tuesday’s presidential election, adding that the “Secret Service is here.”

The candidates' late slogging through the snow may not have mattered Strong conservatives, older voters, MAGA fans, 2020 election deniers and less-educated Iowa Republicans piled in to help Donald Trump win Iowa's Republican caucuses on Monday night amid punishingly cold weather and depressed overall turnout, according to an analysis of entrance poll results. The former president -- despite spending relatively minimal time in the state, despite past indications that the base was considering other options and despite notable challengers, who spent months campaigning against him -- had by far the widest margin of victory in any meaningfully contested Iowa Republican...

MSNBC and CNN refused to air former President Donald Trump’s Republican Iowa caucus victory speech Monday evening, while airing fellow candidates’ speeches. MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow announced on-air that Trump had just began giving his speech but that the network decided not to air it because it did not want to knowingly broadcast “untrue things.” She said: At this point in the evening, the projected winner of the Iowa caucuses has just started giving his victory speech. We will keep an eye on that as it happens. We will let you know if there’s any news made in that speech if...

There may be no more blatant violation of the concept of truth in advertising than CNN's boastful claiming of the slogan "Facts First." If facts were water and opinions were whiskey, CNN would concoct a very potent cocktail. It's easy to compare CNN's very hostile coverage in the minutes after Vice President Mike Pence finished a Republican convention speech in front of a small crowd at Fort McHenry to CNN's reaction to Democratic vice presidential candidate Kamala Harris' speech the week before. Jake Tapper thinks of himself as firmly fact-based, especially when rebutting Republican speeches. Over video that showed President...
