... Trump has called for Antifa — a loose organization of far-left radicals who often use anarchist tactics in their fight against what they see as fascism creeping into every corner of society — to be labeled a terrorist organization. To better understand who’s actually participating in the Portland riots and protests, National Review reached out to demonstrators who were arrested during a two-week period in late August and early September, and combed through dozens of their social media profiles. Portland has entered a fifth straight month of street protests, often met with a barrage of police-deployed crowd-control munitions, making Portland the most tear-gassed city in America. This has environmental groups, public health and human rights advocates questioning the short- and long-term effects of tear gas - not just on those demonstrating for racial justice, but also on the environment. There is no shortage of information and research about what tear gas exposure does to the human body. The Oregon Health Authority and the Department of Environmental Quality share information on their website from the Centers for Disease Control and...

Trump administration officials have reportedly considered cutting millions of dollars for COVID-19 and other health programs in cities led by Democratic lawmakers that the Department of Justice has said "permit anarchy." Politico reported late Tuesday New York City; Portland, Ore.; Washington, D.C.; and Seattle could lose funding for health programs that serve low-income residents, the elderly and others, according to documents it obtained. Nearly 200 health programs could face cuts from the Trump administration, it added. A list sent to the White House budget office on Friday from the Department of Health and Human Services includes approximately 1,500 funding awards...

A bizarre investigative piece published by 9NEWS, the NBC affiliate that reportedly hired the unlicensed security guard who fatally shot a Trump supporter during a Denver "Patriot Rally," exposes the news station for contracting multiple unlicensed security guards.. An investigation self-run by the publication found that 30-year-old Matthew Dolloff—who is facing second-degree murder charges for the alleged killing of a conservative demonstrator during dueling Denver rallies on Saturday—is not the only non-credentialed security guard to accompany 9NEWS crews at riots during the past five months. In fact, Dolloff is one of five unlicensed security agents. Under a taunting "Training Matters"...

The 48-page lawsuit was filed in federal court in California.Among the allegations, the cities said the federal government's policies...

If there's anything that ought to give everyone the creeps, it's the idea of Antifa running whole cities. It's the idea of Antifa no longer being crushed like bugs for their rioting and looting, but instead simply taking over. Imagine a city run by Antifa. Image a gargantuan CHOP zone with no place to run. Imagine Antifa as the stodgy establishment, there to conserve the ways of Antifa. Incredible as that sounds, we see signs of that happening in Portland and Denver, not just turning those cities to rubble, but destined to eventually take over a hollowed out Democratic Party...

Rent prices in Portland, Ore., are falling at a faster rate than many other major cities after years of increases, according to a report. The declines in several rental markets are largely attributable to the coronavirus pandemic, according to the Oregonian, but Portland’s is steeper than all but 9 other cities with populations of 250,000 or more -- likely due to years of rent hikes, a report from Apartment List said. The outlet said the downtown area has been particularly challenged by months of racial injustice protests that have frequently turned destructive and homeless camps that have overwhelmed certain areas...

Sean Lennon just can’t imagine why protesters would try to take Abraham Lincoln down. The son of John Lennon and Yoko Ono got on Twitter Monday to ask his 307,000 followers: “Can someone explain why it appears a Lincoln statue was toppled in Portland? Asking for a friend.” The 45-year-old musician was responding to Sunday night’s protests in the Oregon city — billed as an “Indigenous Peoples Day of Rage” — over the Christopher Columbus holiday, in which a crowd toppled statues of Presidents Abraham Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt. Lennon then appeared to mock the protesters by sarcastically suggesting that...
