<p>WASHINGTON — Supporters of U.S. District Judge Charles Pickering of Hattiesburg still have hope they can save his nomination in the wake of Republicans' failure to win approval of judicial nominee Miguel Estrada last week .</p>
<p>Third District U.S. Rep. Chip Pickering, D-Miss., the Mississippi judge's son, has been lobbying hard to win support for his father. He thinks that his father still has a chance for Senate confirmation.</p>
