WE SEND MEN AND WOMEN I recently watched Michael Moore bait Bill O'Reilly on O'Reilly's TV show into answering the emotionally charged and completely beside-the -point question, "Would you send your child to fight this (Iraq) war?" O'Reilly squirmed and aimlessly pointed his pencil, knowing he had been asked something "every mother and father worry about." He had to scramble fast to the high ground on this one and since he's "looking out for you" he sputtered something about how he would never send his kid but that it was really "the President's call."...

I know there are quite a few fans of Phil Hendrie (radio talk show host) here and thought you might like to know he just put up a blog devoted to politics. For those unfamiliar, Phil is a post-9/11 Democrat ideologically similar to Dennis Miller or perhaps the guys from South Park. We liberals from time to time say we would endorse, without a tremor, the military option if convinced that the individual agency being targeted was "GUILTY." Hence the hand-wringing over "proof" of WMDs. This is like asking a cop to make sure the perpetrator he arrests is "GUILTY" before taking him into custody. What constrains a cop in his investigation of a crime should no less constrain a democracy similarly charged to protect its people. Phil Hendrie Dropped from KFI (February 7, 2005) After almost a decade with KFI, Phil Hendrie has been dropped from the station roster, according to KFI pd Robin Bertolucci. The John Ziegler Show will move into the 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. slot followed by George Noory until 5 a.m. Phil moves to KLAC 570AM, the new home for XTRA Sports. Phil's show is syndicated by Premiere Radio Networks, which is owned by Clear Channel. KFI and KLAC are also part of the Clear Channel/LA cluster.

Phil Hendrie has an evening talk show on about 90 stations around the US. His show is usually comedy oriented, but each night he explains how although he's a Democrat, he supports George Bush and his war on terror. An idiot from Canada was just on the Phil Hendrie show threatening the life of President Bush. Phil kept him on the line, hoping to be able to gather enough info to help the RCMP find him. On the air, the guy said that if he had the chance he would do the deed. He didn't seemed concerned at all that Phil kept him on the line, even though Phil explained why he was doing it. If he didn't have call blocking, can KFI track from where the call came? Anyone know?
