The Left vs. Facism (Liberal Radio Host Phil Hendrie Supports Bush, WoT)
GeorgeWBushisgod.com ^ | 8/1/05 | Phil Hendrie

We liberals from time to time say we would endorse, without a tremor, the military option if convinced that the individual agency being targeted was "GUILTY." Hence the hand-wringing over "proof" of WMDs. This is like asking a cop to make sure the perpetrator he arrests is "GUILTY" before taking him into custody. What constrains a cop in his investigation of a crime should no less constrain a democracy similarly charged to protect its people. In short and in police parlance, following the mass murder of 9/11, the United States had "reasonable suspicion" to target not only Afghanistan but Iraq as well. Some of that "reasonable suspicion" with regard to Iraq may be found in the Clinton Administrations murder indictment of Osama Bin Laden where numerous links to Saddam Hussein are cited. ".....al Qaeda reached an understanding with the government of Iraq that al Qaeda would not work against that government and that on particular projects, specifically including weapons development, al Qaeda would work cooperatively with the Government of Iraq." It is uncomfortable terrain to traverse for some because it is resistant to factional rhetoric

In the end, however, I'm afraid I can't attribute to my friends on the left simply a lack of honest historical scrutiny any more than I can say that a stomach ache is caused by a stomach ache

Phil Hendrie is a perfect example of the "awakening" many Americans had after 9/11. He is not a conservative by nature and never has been. He did wake up to the reality of terrorism on that day, though, and he has NEVER FORGOTTEN.

He started the web site georgewbushisgod.com to vent his political views a little more than he can on his show.

His show has lots of 'guests' and he cannot interrupt them too much without losing audience.

Worth a read, if only because he is one of those liberals who "gets it" when it comes to the War on Terror.

Isn't Phil Hendrie the guy who does fake stories as a joke? I thought his thing was to put on an outrageous guest with an ludicrous story then wait for the few morons who didn't realize the whole thing was a put on to call in and act outraged.

yep, that's him -- he does all the voices. Frankly, most of his bogus topics strike me as pretty illiberal.
Hilarious stuff if you ask me.

FahrenHYPE 911 was a good movie because it had numerous libs (Ron Silver, Ed Koch, Dick Morris...) who supported the president and the War On Terror.

Doesn't mean that they suddenly had a world view change on whether socialism was good or bad, but we must have safety from Islamofascism before we can administrate any internal programs.

There is no "acceptable nuisance level" of terrorism where we can turn a blind eye to such horrors.
