Hurricane Katrina wiped out "Camp Casey" and that could be a good or a bad thing, depending on your point of view. The storm diverted attention from Cindy Sheehan's anti-war protest in Crawford, Texas and caused President Bush to ditch his vacation and high-tail it back to Washington where, reports say, Ms. Sheehan will follow. Like the Terri Schiavo controversy a few months ago, the Cindy Sheehan saga contains some peril for ideologues, even though they might not know it. Smart conservatives realized that fanatical rantings about the health of Ms. Schiavo and criticism of a Florida judge who appeared...

Every time I turn around, another anti-war person is saying how much he or she "supports" the troops. No matter how vicious the attack on the policy in Iraq or the Afghanistan situation or the proactive strategy to confront worldwide terror, it always seems there's a "support the troops" caveat at the end of the blistering dissent. OK, fine, opposing the Iraq war doesn't mean disrespect for the military, that's true. But the benefit of the doubt only goes so far. Now there's a litmus test, a way to expose the folks who really don't support the troops no matter...

NEVER GET into a battle of wits with an unarmed man, goes an old saying. It's good advice, except when the unarmed man picks the fight — before an audience of millions. Then you're stuck. We found ourselves in that position on Monday. Notorious rhetorical ruffian Bill O'Reilly of Fox News went on both his radio show and his television show on Monday and mischaracterized the editorial position of this newspaper — even after he was informed three times of our real position. O'Reilly expressed outrage that we editorialized on Aug. 17 in favor of Gov. John Lynch's decision to...

Thirty-five years ago this summer, the USA was exploding in protest over the Vietnam War. And today, the radical left wants to revisit those awful days by replicating the anti-war movement over the Iraq conflict. The question is, will they succeed?

Bill's got some pro-USA parents coming up to rebutt the Sheehan MSM frenzy. He just made Joe Trippi look like a re-hash of Howard Dean's campaign (no suprise).

Class warfare and victimology have been around a long time, and no one is better at using these political techniques than Sen. Edward Kennedy of Massachusetts. The senator leads the league in "tax cuts for rich" references, and is now taking to the streets because Treasury Secretary John Snow admits that the American economy does not benefit less-educated Americans as much as those with a solid education.

Please forgive (and Moderator please remove) if I'm totally wrong on this, but I thought I saw O'Reilly get the message yesterday when talking to Michelle Malkin that Cindy Sheehan would be on his show The Factor tonight. He was discussing the discrepancies in her story about meeting Bush and mentioned they had extended an invitation for her to come on the show. When he got the news through the earpiece he arched his eyebrows and seemed quite surprised at this development. Might be worth watching...

Another anti-war mom has surfaced from the same group that has introduced the world to Cindy Sheehan, and while many are clamoring for the President to meet with these protesters, we will expose who is behind this campaign in the first hour of the Radio Factor, along with what their real motives are.

ABC News was the target of Bill O'Reilly's "Most Ridiculous Item Of The Day" Tuesday night. He played the video of Terry Moran calling Fox News "a friendly news channel" to the White House, then said: "Now, I'd like to issue a formal invitation for Terry Moran to come on in here and back up his bloviating. What say you, sir? Ridiculous? Only if he doesn't show up." Then O'Reilly cited the CMPA study showing that ABC was the most critical network of Bush, and asked: "Seventy-eight percent, ABC, negative on Bush. Is that fair and balanced?"

Just got word that I'm going to be on The O'Reilly Factor tonight at 8 on Fox News Channel. We'll be talking about a story from the first part of this week.Overnight Monday night, a group of youngsters tossed rocks at a tanker truck, and one enterprising kid lobbed a bottle rocket into the cab of the truck. The tanker truck, carrying 7500 pounds of diesel fuel, went off the road and overturned. The driver was seriously injured.Atlanta Police evacuated the Bankhead Courts housing project as a precaution, as there were fears of an explosion from the diesel fuel.Police have arrested...

So there I am watching Steven Spielberg's "War of the Worlds" with a bunch of swells at the movie's premiere in New York City. The film is a sci-fi extravaganza where Spielberg takes the basic premise of the 1898 H.G. Wells novel, borrows freely from his previous suspense films "Jaws" and "Jurassic Park," and creates a special effects bonanza that is bound to please a mass audience hungry for thrills and chills.

Anyone catch this? Ward Churchill continues to outrage people with his inflammatory remarks, including support for fragging Army officers in Iraq. What are the limits of dissent in America, and have people like Churchill crossed the line into outright treason?

On Monday an angry Bill O’Reilly castigated U.S. Rep. Curt Weldon on the air for failing to appear on Fox News Channel’s "The O’Reilly Factor” and banned him from the show forever. What caused the Congressman to miss his time on the highest-rated talk show on cable TV may still be a mystery to Fox viewers. But NewsMax has uncovered some details of what happened. "He didn’t show up. He didn’t call. He didn’t do anything,” O’Reilly told viewers on Monday night, calling the Pennsylvania Republican’s no-show "grossly irresponsible.” "So he’s banned from ‘The Factor’ forever. And we thought you...

Fair and balanced doesn't float.A cruise featuring Fox News star Bill O'Reilly that had been shilled on the conservative pundit's popular cable show has been cancelled due to a lack of interest. The week-long Caribbean cruise, themed "The Battle for American Values," hoped to have 800 passengers on board, but it fell "well short" of its goal, according to The Thomas More Law Center, which was to get a share of the revenue. "Mr. O'Reilly, who has been a friend of our organization for a long time, wanted to go to bat for us, and a cruise sounded like a...
