After eight years away from newspapers, Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist Berkeley Breathed is creating a new comic strip called "Opus," starring his beloved penguin of the same name. The Washington Post Writers Group, which will syndicate the strip, is expected to officially announce Breathed's return this Sunday. The reclusive Breathed, who rarely gives interviews, could not be reached yesterday for comment. The new strip will appear on Sundays in The Washington Post starting Nov. 23. Breathed drew the wildly popular "Bloom County" and "Outland" comic strips, which introduced the world to the naive Opus and his hairball-spitting sidekick, Bill the Cat....

I'm a Catholic since birth, but haven't actively participated in the church in over 10 years. The recent problems w/ homosexual priests and pedafile's have left me even more so disillusioned w/ the church and it's inability to tackle moral issues. I saw a few threads here yesterday about the Inglewood cop thing. I expected to see comment posts all about revulsion at the PC media's latest propaganda. I expected to see criticism of the Uncivil rights leaders (racebaiting demogogues) that will use this to spread hatred of white people everywhere and justify criminal behavior (and of course take from our wallets). I had noted an opus over on the quot;Serious Forumquot; and that Texaggie had made a good comment about how they are a version of Munchausens' Syndrome. Now even though some people around here annoy me, I don't want to leave, but I was thinking of posting a good opus or two just for the attention. I mean that thread has 127 posts!
