Stefan Halper is a crooked Deep State spy and there is ample evidence that proves this. We reported in April 2019 that the far-left New York Times finally mentioned Stefan Halper as an individual of interest in the Russia hoax. We identified Halper nearly a year earlier as a spy for the corrupt Obama administration. ... you get to the 14th paragraph of its article where The New York Times admits the FBI had a spy targeting and meeting with Trump campaign official George Papadopoulos. ... Now we have adequate evidence that not only did Halper spy on numerous Trump...

Finally made it to suburban Baltimore from NYC. My new hobby is unpacking boxes. Occasionally, I look up and seek a source for the local news. Is there a local facsimile of the NY Post, or must I pay for the dummocrapic Baltimore Sun for an online newspaper? I hate supporting dummocraps, even one red cent. Thanks, fellow FReepers. P.S., please spare me any Baltimore-bashing comments. I have some very valid personal reasons to have moved here. And it sure beats the HECK out of NYC, which deteriorates more and more every single day.

After ISIS stunt and a lot of earlier bad reporting, why should we believe anything the Washington Post writes? ( Full title). ... After years of lying to the public why does any newspaper or other media outlet trust and reprint anything that comes from people working for the Washington Post? The Washington Post, in collusion with other Democrats and media outlets pushed the hoax (fraud) on the public that Russia colluded with DonaldTrump in the 2016 election to steal the election from Hillary Clinton, ultimately with absolutely no evidence. The WP was a leader in pushing the charges against...

Even the Gray Lady admits the president is up against a powerful bureaucracy that wants him sunk.. The New York Times on Thursday published a remarkable piece that essentially acknowledged the existence of an American “deep state” and its implacable hostility to Donald Trump. ... American foreign policy has become the almost exclusive domain of unelected bureaucrats impervious to the views of elected officials—even presidents—who may harbor outlooks different from their own. This is a big deal because, even in today’s highly charged political environment, with a sitting president under constant guerrilla attack, few have been willing to acknowledge any...
  • Mainstream Media Ignores FBI Report That Violent Crime Decreased Again

When the FBI released its 2018 Crime Statistics on Monday, the silence from the anti-gun, anti-Second Amendment mainstream media was deafening. The Washington Post and the New York Times gave the report short shrift, while the Wall Street Journal ignored it altogether. Apparently the mainstream media isn’t interested in listening to facts and data that contradict their preconceived ideology: More guns equal more gun violence. According to the FBI, exactly the opposite is happening, and has been happening for years: The number of violent crimes committed in the United States continues to drop. Said the report, “In 2018, violent crime...

One of Connecticut’s largest newspapers on Friday published an editorial calling on President Trump to resign, citing “damning evidence” that surfaced this week surrounding his interactions with Ukraine. “Even given the incredibly fast pace of news in the Trump era, the speed with which the Ukraine scandal has moved from vague complaint to impeachable offense has been stunning,” reads the editorial published by the Connecticut Post, the state’s second-largest newspaper by circulation. “Though we’re still at the beginning of the process, there is already a mountain of evidence implicating President Donald Trump with conduct far outside the accepted norms of...

Is the New York Times "airbrushing" history again? It would seem so. On Saturday, November 22, Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko presided over a commemoration in Kiev of the 75th anniversary of the famine genocide of 1932-1933 that took the lives of 7-10 million Ukrainians. Known as the Holodomor (Ukrainian for "murder by hunger"), it is one of the greatest mass murders in history, and one of the cruelest ... The New York Times prides itself on being the national "newspaper of record" and still carries its longtime motto, "All the News That's Fit to Print" in the upper left-hand corner...

On her weekly Sinclair TV show, "Full Measure," on Aug. 18, former CBS News correspondent Sharyl Attkisson interviewed pollster Scott Rasmussen about journalists' standing in the public square. They're about as trusted as Wikipedia, the website considered so unreliable that school teachers often tell students they can't cite it as a source for their research papers. Only 38 percent said national political coverage is accurate and reliable, while 42 percent said it is not. "We asked about national political reporters. Are they credible? Are they reliable?" said Rasmussen. "And you know, a little more than 1 out of 3 people...

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- When the press stops rolling at The Vindicator this month, a lingering question will once again taunt the residents of the Mahoning Valley: How much collapse can one region take? The family-owned newspaper announced in June -- just days after celebrating its 150th anniversary -- that it is permanently ceasing production on Aug. 31. Started in 1869 just months after Ulysses S. Grant was sworn into office, it has been run by the descendants of William F. Maag ever since he purchased it midway through Grover Cleveland's first term. The closure will cost 144 employees and 250...

The combined company would have more than 260 daily papers in the United States, along with more than 300 weeklies. It would be the largest U.S. newspaper company ... the U.S. has lost almost 1,800 local newspapers since 2004. Newsroom employment fell by a quarter from 2008 to 2018, according to Pew Research, and layoffs have continued this year. Both GateHouse and Gannett are known as buyers of other papers. Bulking up lets companies cut costs — including layoffs in newsrooms — and centralize operations. ... GateHouse’s owner, New Media, is taking on new debt to get the deal done...

The list of daily newspapers that have shut down grows more rapidly by the year, not to mention those that have had massive layoffs. Monday, another of America's oldest dailies, the Vindicator, which serves Youngstown, Ohio, said its last edition would be on Aug. 31. The paper had just celebrated its 150th anniversary. The local television station reported that 144 people will lose their jobs. The Vindicator was of modest size by daily newspaper standards. It claimed 100,000 online and newspaper readers. Like many papers, it has been owned by a family. Due to unsustainable losses, the Maag-Browns could not...

I know, I know. Fake news! Media bias! Intellectual arrogance! That's my old profession, the newspaper business, as contemporary Americans understand it -- assuming they give our business any actual thought. Probably not. Witness the dreary statistics compiled by The Wall Street Journal in what newspapers call, or used to call, a major takeout. The Journal, one of three major papers seemingly assured a long life -- the others being The New York Times and The Washington Post -- writes that "time is running out" for local franchises unable to compete with Google and Facebook for advertising revenue. The market...

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Plain Dealer on Monday laid off 14 newsroom employees as part of a staff reduction first announced in December. The 14, most of them reporters and all members of Local 1 of the News Guild of the Communication Workers of America, account for about a third of the unionized news-gathering staff. One additional journalist will depart later this month. The company had earlier announced plans to eliminate 29 other jobs in May by shifting its page-production work to a centralized outside system. Three of those production staffers will move to the newsroom, however, reducing the net...

Migrants pushed three 16-year-old Germans in front of train – mainstream media covered up the murders. (Full title). Three young boys were pushed onto the rails at the Nürnberg S-train station Frankenstadion end of January. Two of them were ran over by the oncoming train and killed. German mainstream media spoke deceitfully of “Germans”, in order to cloak a migration background. Furthermore drivel about “accident” and “tragedy” was put out there, and the three 16 year old’s “fell” onto the rails. The Nürnberg News respectfully called the first offender that was arrested a “young man”. ... But on Monday morning...

A cyberattack that appears to have originated from outside the United States caused major printing and delivery disruptions at several newspapers across the country on Saturday including the Los Angeles Times, according to a source with knowledge of the situation. The attack led to distribution delays in the Saturday edition of The Times, the San Diego Union-Tribune, the Chicago Tribune, Baltimore Sun and several other major newspapers that operate on a shared production platform. It also stymied distribution of the West Coast editions of the Wall Street Journal and New York Times, which are all printed at the Los Angeles...

Nicaraguan authorities have raided the offices of a critical television station and shut it down, a week after raiding the offices of non-governmental groups and a newspaper. Lucia Pineda, press director for the 100% Noticias station, sent WhatsApp messages to other journalists saying that station director Miguel Mora was detained during the Friday night raid. Backers of President Daniel Ortega had filed criminal complaints accusing Mora of generating hate and during a wave of anti-government protests that broke out in April. Pineda also said police were taking away control equipment from the station, which went off the air. Other journalists...

A lot of my fellow journalists are upset that CNN's Jim Acosta was banned from White House press conferences. Not me. I would prefer that all press conferences be restricted to the press, by which I mean the print media. I've been a print journalist since before Acosta entered kindergarten. For the first five years or so of my career I never attended a press conference that included TV and radio people. That made for a much more informative interchange between journalists and politicians. The reporters wanted simply to have their questions answered. The answers could then be incorporated into...

This is not good. A newspaper in Australia is catching A LOT of heat over a cartoon that was trying to spoof Serena Williams' incident at the U.S. Open -- because it's racist as hell. The cartoon -- drawn by Mark Knight (editorial cartoonist for the Herald Sun newspaper) -- shows the tennis superstar stomping on her racket. But, let's get serious, it looks like a Jim Crow-era, Sambo-style caricature of a black person -- not Serena Williams.

Aide Stephanie Grisham calls the hosts “disrespectful” after they accuse the first lady of hypocrisy for her “birther” support. Melania Trump’s spokeswoman lashed out Friday at ABC’s “The View” after the panelists mocked the first lady’s statement condemning the anonymous op-ed in The New York Times written by a senior White House official. Host Sunny Hostin focused on the first lady’s line that “words are important” and “accusations can lead to severe consequences” in the statement she released Thursday criticizing the op-ed that claimed people around President Donald Trump have been attempting to contain his “bad decisions.” Melania Trump called...
