Former U.N. ambassador and South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley emerged as the only Republican presidential candidate who can decisively beat Joe Biden in 2024, a new poll shows. Results: Haley, 51, struck a commanding 49% against Biden’s 43%, according to the CNN/SSRS poll released today. This is the only result to exceed the margin of error. Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump received 47% to Biden’s 46%; former Vice President Mike Pence and Sen. Tim Scott both received 46% to Biden’s 44% and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie received 44% to Biden’s 42%. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis tied with Biden at...

So let me get this straight… an open forum, no teleprompter, no pre-written statement, with complete and eloquent thoughts that make sense. Imagine having a leader you can actually respect and don’t want chained in a basement. Regardless if you like like Vivek, this was arguably the most enriching interviews of a presidential candidate I’ve witnessed. We need more of this.

During a recent appearance on MSNBC, 2024 Republican presidential hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy pushed back on MSNBC host Andrea Mitchell’s claim that climate change has resulted in the deaths of two million people in the last 50 years. Ramaswamy argued the evidence shows technology powered by fossil fuels has reduced the amount of climate-related deaths by 98%. He also criticized Mitchell’s anecdotal evidence that because some Floridians have claimed to have never seen a hurricane as bad as Hurricane Idalia, it meant climate change is a potent threat.

But I would posit that perhaps Ramaswamy signifies something more. If you are a youngish person looking to get into politics or some other career of public renown, it’s only natural that you would model yourself on the people in your lifetime who have had ostentatious success in those areas, people like Obama and Trump and Musk. It seems likely that, in the future, we will see a lot more politicians like Vivek Ramaswamy.

"Is it true that Donald Trump is stronger today than he was in 2020?" Kirk asked. "Yes," Baris said. "It's also fair to say that he is stronger now than he was in 2016 when he won. We got this new poll coming out and I've been trying to beat this like a dead horse... It's just not 2020. It's not 2016. They are just totally different races and he's doing so much better with e-groups, which we can get into than he was in either '16 or '20. I'm not a lawyer but as a pollster and it is...

At a town hall event last week, presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy spoke about China. @jill3686 9 days ago I have to say, he explains everything clearly. I've been saying... He's got my vote. @thomasvest7111 4 days ago This guy is head and shoulders above every other political candidate in knowledge, intelligence and drive. He will be savaged by the left wing media as "more Trump than Trump", but will survive the initial state primaries. He needs our support. @elizabethdavis4612 9 days ago Thank you Vivek for explaining how the CCP infiltrated and harm American culture. I've been trying for years...

Hugh Culverhouse donated $350,000 to the Never Back Down super PAC backing Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis's presidential campaign in June, but he won’t be giving any more money unless the governor's ongoing campaign reboot includes a new message.

VIVEK RAMASWAMY: Well, I started at 0.0 percent in March. I'm now at an unambiguous third in this race. And we're just getting warmed up ahead of the first debate stage. The thing about me is, I'm not attacking any of my fellow candidates. I am not running against them. I am running for this country. And that's what I see on the ground in Iowa and elsewhere. People are hungry for an actual affirmative vision, not, what are we running from? What are we running to? For my part, I stand for the America first agenda. I believe I...

Ramaswamy's Bermuda-based company, Axovant Sciences, had been formed only eight months earlier, but here it was raising $360 million to develop an Alzheimer's drug that had been all but abandoned by giant pharma GlaxoSmithKline. On the first day of trading the stock almost doubled, giving Axovant a market capitalization of nearly $3 billion. Considering that Ramaswamy had persuaded Glaxo to part with the unproven remedy for a mere $5 million up front, the newlyweds were ecstatic, as was a veritable wedding party of hedge fund pals who had followed Ramaswamy into the stock. Yet as quickly as it started, the...

Conservative commentator George Will criticized 2024 GOP primary favorites former President Trump and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, in a column Friday, saying that both candidates will come out of the GOP primary weaker. “The 2024 Republican nomination question was supposed to be: Could anyone harpoon the Great Orange Whale? Who knew that he would harpoon himself, repeatedly? Or that DeSantis, playing Captain Ahab, would pay Trump the sincerest form of flattery by imitating his persona as an unhappy warrior?” Will wrote in a Washington Post column.
-
Ron DeSantis’s bid for the Republican presidential nomination was already faltering even before he formally entered the fray on Wednesday in a much-touted launch on Twitter Spaces. As The New York Times noted, DeSantis “has struggled in recent polling, receiving an average across polls of around 20 percent among Republicans, falling far short of former President Donald J. Trump’s roughly 50 percent. The gap between the two men has grown steadily over the past few months, as Mr. Trump’s share has increased and Mr. DeSantis has lost ground.” Unfortunately for DeSantis, his decision to take up Elon Musk’s suggestion of...

All told, the Republican presidential field might end up almost as large and divided as the one in 2016. Which is to say that the 2024 Republican primary is, at this stage, shaping up to be a retread of the one that catapulted Trump to the commanding heights of the American political system. Once again, it is clear that many Republican elites would prefer to have someone other than Trump at the top of the ticket. But once again, those elites — donors, intellectuals, activists — are having a hard time finding a single alternative candidate to challenge the former...

Hours after Joe Biden announced his re-election campaign on Tuesday, his vice-president and 2024 running mate, Kamala Harris, delivered a fiery call to action for voters alarmed by the loss of constitutional protections for abortion. “This is a moment for us to stand and fight,” she said to a packed auditorium at Howard University.....

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis made a trip to Washington, DC this week in a bid to rally congressional support. That trip, however, was overshadowed by another development: former President Donald Trump picking up a parade of new endorsements, including those of several lawmakers from DeSantis’s own state. As of Wednesday, Trump has locked down seven endorsements of 20 Florida House Republicans, compared to one that DeSantis has secured. Reps. John Rutherford, Brian Mast, and Greg Steube all announced this week that they were backing Trump in the presidential race, while Rep. Laurel Lee announced that she would be supporting DeSantis....

Republican Strategist John Jordan says it is unlikely former US president Donald Trump will gain new voters with his YouTube account being reinstated. “Most people are already aware of President Trump and what he says and what he thinks so it’s unlikely that he’s going to win new converts or really move his numbers,” he told Sky News Australia. However, having the YouTube account does allow Mr Trump to react to stories, potentially “shape ...

Former President Donald Trump on Friday slammed Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis over a past move to end a prized ethanol mandate, foreshadowing a likely primary clash to come in Iowa, the state that will kick off the entire process. "Why on earth (farmer's love earth!) would the wonderful people of the GREAT State of Iowa vote for Ron DeSanctimonious when he voted and fought to KILL Ethanol (and will definitely do so if given the chance) ..." Trump wrote in part in an early morning post on his social media platform, Truth. DeSantis, Trump concluded, would "beg for mercy" in...

The 2024 presidential race will start to heat up very quickly, indeed, the talk is already moving towards the front burner. On the Democratic side, the nomination is Biden’s, if he wants it; the fact that he hasn’t announced yet has created some questions (Breitbart headline, 2/22: “2024: Joe No Show? Delayed Decision Causing ‘Doubt’”), but Biden will almost surely run again, and there are no Democrats strong enough to challenge him. The Republicans now have three candidates: Donald Trump, Nikki Haley, and multi-millionaire entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, who, on Tucker Carlson’s February 21 show, announced his intention to run for...

Ann Coulter: Trump is “profoundly stupid.”
-
Republican voters did their part. When one accumulates the popular vote for House races across the country, Republicans won by three percentage points—a margin that was once just under five points but narrowed as votes from deep-blue districts trickled in over weeks after Election Day. That kind of turnout for Republicans “would normally translate into GOP gains of 20-30 seats,” according to the Cook Political Report. But Republicans have as of early December netted only eight seats, bringing their total in the House to 220. At most, Republicans will hold 222. In races that seemed to be easy flips, Republicans...
