The United States Senate will soon render its advice and consent to the nomination of Governor Janet Napolitano (D-AZ) as the new secretary of the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS). As a border state governor, Napolitano has experience dealing with border security and led Arizona's efforts to tackle the immigration problem and enforce our immigration laws. Media reports suggest that she will bring this law enforcement mindset to the DHS.
