Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) said Wednesday that former President Trump is “afraid” to take the stage in Republican primary debates after Trump, who holds a commanding lead in the GOP polls, floated skipping the events. Christie, a former Trump ally who has become one of his more vocal Republican critics, told conservative radio talk show host Hugh Hewitt that the GOP should hold “as many” debates as it can and should have an “open format” to allow for follow-up questions and prevent candidates from giving “soundbyte-y answers that nobody believes will solve any problems.”

Speaking at New England College in New Hampshire yesterday, Gov. Chris Christie attacked former President Donald Trump, calling him a “failure” as President, and “just a TV Star.” Christie is mulling a possible Presidential run himself, and says he will decide by mid-May whether to challenge Trump for the GOP Nomination. Christie has been touting himself as the one guy who could take Trump out under “the brightest of lights” – meaning the Debate stage. Christie is going to have a hard time convincing GOP Primary Voters that Trump was a failure as President. We remember all that Trump was...

Outdated rock ‘n roll singer Meatloaf exploded Tuesday after learning he could get better gas mileage by losing weight. “You’re kidding me?” he said when learning of a University of Illinois study that concluded America will be out of fuel by the end of 2020 if fat people don’t exercise, lose weight, and become generally miserable because they’re no longer fat and content. [Full disclosure: Your stupid narrator is fat and content.] “Hell, if I had known I could burn more fossil fuels by eating another hamburger a day, I would have done it earlier. But it’s never too late...

I am curious why none of the media covers the most important aspect of the Malvo shootings. If you look at Newspapers on the dates when the shootings are underway you discover something I find quite interesting. The shootings begin to dominate the news the day before the debate on the Iraq war starts and they catch them the day after the declaration of war??? If you ask most people "do you remember the debate about starting the second Iraq war", they will all answer "yes of course". But if you followup with the question "name one point in the...

I recently received a reply to a post that stated: "This should be beneath a "freeper". Sad." So I asked.. what is it that makes a FReeper? My reply (and I will admit was tasteless) was also questioning. It stirred controversy and was removed? Why Moderators? Can you not tell me? Did it not meet with your "FReeper" mentality? According to all posted guidelines it should be listed but no, you chose to delete it. Yes.. I'm the first one IBTZ, I'm sure you'll nick me for speaking up..

Many argue that communism will never be possible because of "human nature". The essence of this false argument is the belief that a communist society would consist of an all-powerful central government that would tell everybody what to do--and would therefore undermine the creative initiative of individuals and the search for happiness. • This argument is based on two false assumptions: (1) It assumes that a communist society will look like the former Soviet Union, or the current China, North Korea, etc (ie: corrupt police states with a feudal-style ruling class) (2) It assumes that people will only work in...

Chris Whittle, who edits Sunday Morning Shootout ... has a fascinating, wide ranging post on his site Eject! Eject! Eject!, which hits many of my political-entertainment industry buttons. The amn knows whereof he speaks, and has a lot of worthwhile thoughts. >>There are only eight conservative actors in the history of Hollywood, and five of them have been elected to high office. (The sixth was elected president of the National Rifle Association, the seventh was elected Mayor of Carmel, California on a pro-business platform, and John Wayne had the class to never run for – or from – anything.) If,...

Information concerning a new anti-Michael Moore documentary is beginning to leak out. Apparently, in this new documentary entitled Shooting Michael Moore, it will be revealed that Moore cheated en route to earning a Boy Scout merit badge. The filmmaker, Kevin Leffler, a former classmate of Moore's and lifelong resident of Moore's hometown of Flint, MI has spent the last 6 months filming the residents of Flint and Davison Michigan. Apparently, leffler uncovered evidence that Moore cheated to earn a Boy Scout merit badge while on a weekend "survival" trip. According to testimony in the documentary, Moore, instead of "living off...

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Michael Moore says he won't submit "Fahrenheit 9/11" for consideration as best documentary at this year's Academy Awards. Instead, he's going for the bigger prize of best picture. Moore's critically acclaimed film slams President Bush's war on terror as ill-advised and corrupt. The movie has cheered Democrats but enraged the president's supporters, who booed Moore when he visited the Republican National Convention last week. "For me the real Oscar would be Bush's defeat on Nov. 2," Moore told The Associated Press during a phone interview Monday from New York. The $6 million film has become a...

Already a box office sensation, filmmaker Michael Moore got another loud reception Monday at the Republican convention. This time, it was boos. When Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., told the delegates about "a disingenuous film maker who would have us believe that Saddam's Iraq was an oasis of peace," they knew he was referring to the maker of "Fahrenheit 9-11." The film, which savages Bush's Iraq policy, has set a box office record for documentaries, grossing $115 million so far. McCain's comments prompted prolonged booing and chants of "Four more years." Many of the delegates faced Moore, who was seated in...

Controversial director Michael Moore says big names like Meryl Streep and Martin Scorsese supported his outburst at the 2003 Academy Awards. The Fahrenheit 9/11 film-maker took to the stage at the glitzy ceremony to accept the award for his acclaimed movie Bowling For Columbine, and proceeded to call shame on President George W. Bush's war on Iraq. But, while the media insisted many were infuriated by Moore's speech, the documentary maestro insists he was sent letters of support by many Hollywood 'A' listers - including Jeff Bridges and Jonathan Demme. Moore says, "Some complained about it on TV - James...

Chester Bennington has pretty much overcome the mystery stomach and back ailment that recently landed him in the hospital, but the Linkin Park singer's medical woes aren't over. After the band finishes touring behind Meteora, Bennington will undergo surgery for a hiatal hernia, a condition that occurs when part of the stomach slides above the diaphragm, allowing stomach acid to flow freely into the esophagus. "I'm kind of queasy all the time," Bennington said Wednesday during a break from the Summer Sanitarium Tour. "I'm basically gonna be sick to my stomach until I have the surgery done. Every night when...
