Cornelius Chapman makes a great point on how the Massachusetts GOP can revive itself (“GOP, sink teeth into pension reform,” Jan. 26). But there is a simpler way: The Mass. GOP can run on a conservative platform and nominate conservative candidates. There are too many RINOs (Republicans In Name Only) - “moderates” like Bill Weld, Paul Cellucci, Jane Swift, Kerry Healey and Peter Torkildsen. All were weak on moral issues like abortion and never built up the party as far as conservatism is concerned. However, on fiscal issues the Mass. GOP has always been solid. David R. Beaupre Lynn
