Supreme Court nominee Brett M. Kavanaugh told Sen. Susan Collins on Tuesday that Roe v. Wade was “settled law,” the Maine Republican told reporters after their meeting. Collins, a supporter of abortion rights, said she raised the issue with Kavanaugh, who is meeting with senators ahead of his confirmation hearings next month. “We talked about whether he considered Roe to be settled law,” Collins said, referring to the landmark 1973 Supreme Court decision that established a woman’s right to terminate her pregnancy. Collins said Kavanaugh told her that he agreed with Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr., who said during...

Despite the fact that pro-abortion Senator Dianne Feinstein has never been a judge or an attorney, she claimed during hearings on Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh that she sentenced women to jail for having illegal abortions. I want to talk a little bit about one of the big decisions that we have the belief that although you told Senator Collins that you believe it was ‘settled law,’ the question is really do you believe that it’s correct law, and that’s Roe v. Wade. I was, in the ‘50s and ‘60s, active first as a student at Stanford, I saw what...

My hunch at the time was that Specter was offended by the unfair, late-hit aspect of the Hill charges against Thomas. I think the same dynamic is unfolding right now. Sen. Collins is clearly perturbed and offended by the way the allegation against Judge Kavanaugh came to light, and Sen. Jeff Flake (also the wavering Bob Corker) have both said that if Dr. Hill doesn’t appear next Monday, the Senate should proceed to a vote. The hint seems to be that all of them, in the absence of any additional credible information, are ready to vote for Kavanaugh. Keep your...

SOUTH PORTLAND — Sometimes it takes a confluence of events to provide clarity to the muddle. The events in this case are the 50th anniversary of the riots surrounding the Democratic National Convention in Chicago in August 1968, the recent death of Sen. John McCain and the mind-numbingly idiotic statement by Fox News commentator Marie Harf on “Outnumbered” on Aug. 16 that “the highest form of patriotism is protest.” The muddle is the catastrophic state of the modern Democratic Party.....

Sen. Chuck Grassley, the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, late Sunday slammed Senate Democrats for withholding information from the committee regarding new sexual misconduct allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. The Iowa Republican said the committee will attempt to evaluate the new claims, but said in a statement “it appears that they [Democrats] are more interested in a political takedown" than “pursing allegations through a bipartisan and professional investigative process.” His office released the statement after two new allegations emerged against Kavanaugh.

American politics have been roiled in the last 48 hours by a last-minute attempt by Democrats and political operatives to sink Brett Kavanaugh’s appointment to the United States Supreme Court. After all public and private hearings were over, Sen. Feinstein revealed a letter she had in her possession since July of this year, accusing Judge Kavanaugh of some teenage, high-school groping of a girl at a party. This girl, now a woman in her 50’s, has come forward and is willing to testify before the confirmation vote. Any reasonable person, not motivated by sheer partisan politics, might wonder about the...

BREAKING: Chairman Grassley reveals Judge Kavanaugh's two young daughters have faced serious death threats "and vicious assaults as a result of these allegations" -- and "they're getting worse by the day."

This past week anti-Trump activist Christine Ford accused Judge Brett Kavanaugh of groping her over her swimsuit sometime around 36 years ago at an unknown time and place. The three men she accused of being present during the incident have all vehemently denied her accusations. And Ford’s friend also denies the allegations. Ford picked at least two far left attorneys to represent her and top Democrat advisers helped her plot her strategy to stall the process and smear Judge Kavanaugh. THERE ARE NO WITNESSES WHO HAVE CONFIRMED CHRISTINE BLASEY FORD’S ACCUSATIONS! NOT ONE! ** Judge Brett Kavanaugh vehemently denies the...

Lawyer Michael Avenatti told the Senate Judiciary Committee late Sunday that he has multiple witnesses who can say Brett Kavanaugh participated in gang rapes of drunken women during high school. “We are aware of significant evidence of multiple house parties in the Washington, D.C. area during the early 1980s during which Brett Kavanaugh, Mark Judge and others would participate in the targeting of women with alcohol/drugs in order to allow a ‘train’ of men to subsequently gang rape them,” Avenatti said in an email to Mike Davis, chief counsel for nominations for the Senate Judiciary Committee. Avenatti did not disclose...

Avenetti reportedly alleges Kavenaugh participated in multiple gang rapes? Does anyone really believe that this could happen without someone...one of the victims, the parents of the victims, contacting the police? And does anyone believe that this would not have been discovered in the six background investigations conducted by the govt through checking police records and interviewing neighbors, friends, former employees of Kavanaugh? I conducted background investigations for the Dept. of Defense for 7 years and the chances that something as serious as this would not be discovered through interviews or law enforcement record checks would be close to zero.

It took the French Revolution ten years (1789-1799) to go from an idealistic fight for freedom to the one-man rule of Napoleon, but these are fast-moving times and the #MeToo movement has gone from the necessary correction of monsters like Harvey Weinstein to an all-out assault on the rule of law and hatred of the entire male sex in about eighteen months. (Well, it was men who came up with the Magna Carta.) Think I'm exaggerating? How about the nauseating misandry of the senator from Hawaii, Mazie Hirono? Not only, in the eyes of Ms. Hirono, is Brett Kavanaugh automatically...

If you ever need to find another liar to accuse Kavanaugh, “Better Call Avennati.”

I represent a woman with credible information regarding Judge Kavanaugh and Mark Judge. We will be demanding the opportunity to present testimony to the committee and will likewise be demanding that Judge and others be subpoenaed to testify. The nomination must be withdrawn.

FULL TITLE: Blasey Ford's Female Classmate, Her Last Named Witness, Doesn't Recall Ever Attending Party With Kavanaugh Christine Blasey Ford has claimed that four other people attended a small gathering at which she was allegedly assaulted by Brett Kavanaugh. Three of those people, PJ Smyth, Mark Judge, and Kavanaugh, have already denied any recollection of attending such a party. On Saturday night, Leland Ingham Keyser, a classmate of Ford's at the all-girls school Holton-Arms and her final named witness, denied any recollection of attending a party with Brett Kavanaugh. "Simply put, Ms. Keyser does not know Mr. Kavanaugh and she...
