Damaging stories have plagued two candidates at the top of Kamala Harris's running mate search list. On Sunday, we reported that a Democrat running for statewide office in Pennsylvania accused Gov. Josh Shapiro, one of the frontrunners, of covering up sexual harassment in his office. Harris wasn't likely to choose Shapiro anyway. Despite hailing from Pennsylvania, a must-win state for Harris, his Jewish heritage and pro-Israel positions likely would hurt the ticket among the antisemitic and anti-Zionist wing of the party. But now the dirt is coming out about another top contender, Sen. Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.). It turns out that he...

According to a Freedom Foundation press release, the organization has filed multiple complaints with state and federal authorities concerning the Pennsylvania State Education Association (PSEA) and the Democratic Governors Association (DGA). The complaints allege PSEA “executed an illegal scheme during the 2022 Pennsylvania general election to surreptitiously use nearly $1.5 million in teachers’ union dues to back then-candidate Josh Shapiro’s gubernatorial campaign.” Shapiro is reportedly under consideration as Kamala Harris’s running mate.

Kamala Harris' top vice president pick has been dragged into a shocking sexual harassment scandal. Governor Josh Shapiro of Pennsylvania, 51, is in the running to take Harris' job as vice president should she beat Donald Trump in November. Harris has so far requested materials from Shapiro as part of a vetting process that includes several governors of swing states that could be an asset to her efforts.

There is only one Democrat who thinks he’s winning or in a good position to win: Joe Biden. Every other member of his party, excluding his Rasputin-like inner circle, knows he’s in trouble. Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) reportedly told donors that House Democrats face annihilation if the president remains in the race. The polling reflects that the map has only improved for Donald Trump ever since Biden’s abysmal June 27 debate. CNN’s John King’s projection of the 2024 race isn’t just brutal for Joe Biden; it’s also something of an epitaph. We’re sixteen weeks away from Election Day, and with...

Critics slammed CNN after anchor John King said there were “risks” in putting forward Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro as the Democratic vice presidential nominee because “he’s Jewish.” “He’s certainly under consideration,” King said on CNN Sunday night, referencing discussions with allies of Vice President Kamala Harris. “He’s a first-term governor, he’s Jewish, there could be some risks in putting him on the ticket, but certainly some of our voters here in Pennsylvania said, ‘Hey, we like Gov. Shapiro, give him a look,'” he added. The popular X account StopAntisemitism underscored the hateful comment by pointing out how different the response...

Former Republican House Speaker Newt Gingrich said Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign could be derailed if she picks Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro as her running mate. During an appearance on “The Ingraham Angle” with Fox News host Laura Ingraham, Gingrich discussed the potential running mate picks floated for Harris and highlighted the issues of choosing Shapiro.

Former New Jersey Governor and twice-failed presidential candidate Chris Christie shocked the hosts on The View by announcing that he would not be voting for former President Donald Trump or Joe Biden. (snip) Christie recommended that Kamala Harris choose a moderate running mate like Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro to lure in some Republicans.

Kamala Harris has suffered a blow in a poll that looked at how alternative Democratic candidates would do in swing states. There have been calls for U.S. President Joe Biden to be replaced as the Democratic candidate since the world watched his poor performance in his debate with Donald Trump on June 27. Many have assumed the vice president would be the obvious choice, but a new poll shows she doesn't fare as well as others, and she wasn't among the four who performed best. Analytics company BlueLabs carried out research to determine who would increase the number of people...

BUTLER, Pa. (AP) — The man who was killed at a rally for former President Donald Trump was Corey Comperatore, Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro announced Sunday. Comperatore was a former fire chief from the area who loved his family, Shapiro said. “Corey died a hero. Corey dove on his family to protect them last night,” the governor said.

President Biden’s campaign is intensely trying to quell speculation that he may drop out of the 2024 race following his lackluster debate performance last week. Most top Democrats have voiced support for Biden continuing in the race, while members of his family, including first lady Jill Biden, have declared they also want him to remain a candidate, casting doubt on the potential for replacing Biden. But if Biden were to step aside, several prominent Democrats could be waiting in the wings as possible successors. Here are the top possible Biden replacements: Kamala Harris Gavin Newsom Gretchen Whitmer Pete Buttigieg Josh...

new report suggests that presidential debate affected director Rob Reiner and actress Jane Fonda so immensely that the latter was reduced to tears while the former screamed at the TV. According to CNN, people in attendance at the Hollywood debate watch party this past Thursday said that Reiner and Fonda were emotionally swept up in seeing President Joe Biden perform poorly against former President Trump. A debate watch party in Los Angeles on Thursday night happened to feature Harris’ husband Doug Emhoff, Pritzker, Whitmer and Beshear. There were other high-profile attendees – by a few answers in, Rob Reiner was...

Governor Josh Shapiro (D-PA) said Thursday on MSNBC’s “Deadline” that Republican supporters of former President Donald Trump are “profoundly and pathetically weak people.” Shapiro said, “When Donald Trump sued us to try to first stop people from voting then had their votes count, he and his allies sued us 42 times. We went 43-0. We had a free and fair, safe and secure election. Then look at the ballot box while Donald Trump squeaked out a victory in 2016 in Pennsylvania by just over 40,000 votes, in every subsequent election, either Donald Trump or his hand picked candidate lost. They...

Thank you. Lieutenant Governor Davis, Madam Speaker McClinton, Madam President Pro Tem Ward… Leader Pittman, Leader Costa, Leader Bradford, Leader Cutler… Thank you for convening this special session and giving me the honor of addressing you today. While I’m grateful to see the House and the Senate gathered here together, I’m also mindful that one of our colleagues is not able to be with us. To Representative Kerwin and every member of the Pennsylvania National Guard at home and abroad, thank...

Sunday night, another horde of young people descended on yet another victim. This time, the target was a Philadelphia falafel shop owned by Israeli Jews. Per the usual modus operandi, a mob arrived at the establishment named "Goldie" and began shouting, “Goldie, Goldie, you can’t hide. We charge you with genocide.” Nothing demonstrates a desire for peace like hundreds of rabid animals surrounding a falafel shop. A mob targeting businesses because they are owned by Jews? It seems to me we've seen this before. According to the New York Post, Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro posted in response, “Tonight in Philly,...

With many eyes focused on the 2024 presidential election, issues of election integrity are again coming to the forefront of the national conversation, as they should. Without fair, honest, and secure elections, we can’t sustain our democratic republic. Because the Framers of our Constitution placed primary responsibility on the states to administer and set out the rules and procedures that apply in our elections, that’s where most battles over election integrity have been—and will continue to be—fought. Fortunately, the citizens of many states, their legislators, and even judges who hear challenges to recent commonsense election reforms all are starting to...

Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro’s budget address Tuesday laid out his vision of policies to prioritize in his proposed $44.4 billion budget, and he made an attempt to unify those listening. “Let’s work together,” he urged House and Senate members who assembled to hear his plan. And, “believe in us,” Shapiro, a Democrat, asked of those who didn’t vote for him. He offered ideas that have potential for bipartisan support such as better funded police and expanding the property tax rent rebate program for seniors and for disabled residents, increasing the maximum rebate from $650 to $1,000 a year and raising...

Gov. Josh Shapiro Thursday boldly called on legislators to abolish Pennsylvania’s costly, ineffective and immoral death penalty. In urging legislators to act, an unprecedented move, Mr. Shapiro showed some sorely needed leadership from the governor’s office. Unless Mr. Shapiro engages the legislature, the death-penalty statute will endure. He needs to take the lead in persuading the Democrat-controlled House and Republican-controlled Senate to approve bills that would repeal it. Former Gov. Tom Wolf refused to do that. In making his statement a month after his inauguration, Mr. Shapiro signaled that getting state government out of the business of killing people will...

From the hardscrabble hills of western Pennsylvania to the hardknock blocks of Northeast Philadelphia, children are getting inferior educations in underfunded school districts with low property values and incomes. Crowded classrooms in the state’s 100 most poorly funded districts deny children, who may enter kindergarten a year behind their more affluent peers, the attention they need. Those districts, including South Allegheny, East Allegheny, New Castle, Sharon and Philadelphia, educate one-third of the state’s 1.5 million students, two-thirds of its Black students, and nearly 60% of its poor students. Leaky roofs, obsolete and unsafe buildings, and broken laptops plague many of...

Democratic Gov. Josh Shapiro, who took office last month after having been state attorney general, said "the system is fallible, and the outcome is irreversible." Pennsylvania Gov. Gov.-elect Josh Shapiro will be sworn-in next week on three Bibles with significance to his family and Jewish faith. Shapiro, Pennsylvania’s outgoing attorney general, will use a family Bible that he has used for swearing-in ceremonies since 2005, a Hebrew Bible that was in the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh during the 2018 massacre, and a Bible carried by a Jewish soldier from Philadelphia during the D-Day invasion in World War II. Pennsylvania Gov.-elect Josh Shapiro Shapiro, who embraced his deep Jewish faith on the campaign trail, will be the third Jewish governor in Pennsylvania history after Milton Shapp...
