LAKE ELSINORE (CBSLA.com) — A 29-year-old Riverside County man was facing assault charges Tuesday after he allegedly attacked several people with a knife at a Lake Elsinore restaurant. Johnathan Schmidt, of Lake Elsinore, was arrested Sunday for assault with a deadly weapon and battery, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said. Around 11:10 p.m. that night, police were dispatched to a restaurant in the 31000 block of Riverside Drive for an assault call.
