The Biden administration’s proposed asylum rule worsens the already flawed expedited removal process for illegal immigrants by making it more difficult to detect meritless asylum claims. The window for public comments regarding the Biden administration’s proposed asylum rule closes this week, and it looks like at least some Americans understand the mischief.“So wrong and deceitful!” wrote Dianna Key of the rule on the public forum for administrative rule making. Her comments were echoed last week by an immigration judge, who called it a “misleading and dishonest proposal.”What numerous such commentators understand is that the rule would allow massive numbers of legally...

The left’s response was a scorched earth policy to destroy Trump. Five years into their implacable opposition, we now see the earth the left scorched was America.America has been torched by the left’s scorched-earth strategy to defeat Donald Trump. While Trump was still in office, the price was already high. With Trump gone, we are learning that high price was just a down payment. Today, America is paying in full in its cities, in its schools, on its southern border, and abroad. Seemingly behind every shameful headline is a leftist lowlight. America’s cities are enduring exploding violence to an extent...

he precinct for Scottsdale’s Homewood Suites voted for Joe Biden, 51% to 47%. Today, this upscale Arizona neighborhood regrets its decision. Two hundred residents protested Saturday after ICE took over the recently closed hotel to house more than 1,200 illegal immigrants. No public input was requested, not even from the Scottsdale Police Department, which was notified of the decision a day before migrants were transferred. Government usually detains the undocumented in poorer neighborhoods where they’re more easily ignored by the media. But this zip code has nearly three times the state’s median income, making it harder to hide the ongoing...

Grey, heavily cratered, and peering out from the black of space, Ganymede looks a lot like our moon. But the icy rock is more than 650 million kilometers (400 million miles) away – it's the largest moon in the Solar System, and it circles Jupiter. NASA's Juno spacecraft has been rocketing around Jupiter since 2016, but on Monday, it zipped past Ganymede, coming within 1,000 km (650 miles) of the moon. No spacecraft had gotten that close in more than two decades – the last approach was NASA's Galileo spacecraft in 2000. In just 25 minutes, Ganymede went from being...
