Big payoffs to unions, free healthcare to illegal aliens, death panels for Americans, limits and rationing to Americans… it's ALL in the bill (HR 32000). And remember, folks. We get taxed immediately but none of these wonderful "benefits" actually kick in for FOUR YEARS! So even if you liked this communist paradise you won't get it for almost half the decade. It makes you wonder... how many dead people will Democrats be responsible for since this bill doesn't kick in for so long, eh? See the video at Publiusforum.com...

Live Threads of the Healthcare Debate that could be voted on this weekend. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2380972/posts?q=1&;page=251 http://www.c-span.org/Watch/C-SPAN_wm.aspx Different reports are coming in about what some of the Arkansas Representatives will do. John Boozeman is a solid NO vote. Rep Berry has "concerns regarding how the plan is paid for", but Obamacare is often changed to give the apperance of not costing as much. Mike Ross has expressed concern over public option, but that is also not a definite NO. According to David Meeks, Rep Snyder's office had said that he wouldn't for a bill that "funds abortion", however Obamacare supporters had claimed...

Well well well... Here's the smoking gun PROVING that Joe Wilson was right and that Obama LIED. And best of all, it comes from that esteemed organization that Leftists and Marxists love to hold up as the epitome of impartiality, the Congressional Research Service. Enough lead in, here's the smoking gun. Please see page 4 of the document (PDF page 7), the section entitled "Exchange". Specifically, these words: H.R. 3200 does not contain any restrictions on noncitzens—whether legally or illegally present, or in the United States temporarily or permanently—participating in the Exchange. Given this, Mr. President, Madame Speaker, I hereby...

The healthcare/illegal immigration issue has risen again, thanks to 2 letters sent by about 20 or oso extreme leftist in the House of Representatives led by Congressman Mike Honda. The 1st letter is a request for quicker access to Medicare benefits for legal immigrants, benefits that we can't even afford for U.S. citizens. Here's a quote from the 1st letter below. Notice the lack of concern over the tenth amendment of the U.S. Constitution (The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to...

WASHINGTON — As if it were not complicated enough, the debate over health care in Congress is becoming a battlefield in the fight over abortion. Abortion opponents in both the House and the Senate are seeking to block the millions of middle- and lower-income people who might receive federal insurance subsidies to help them buy health coverage from using the money on plans that cover abortion. And the abortion opponents are getting enough support from moderate Democrats that both sides say the outcome is too close to call. Opponents of abortion cite as precedent a 30-year-old ban on the use...

Please view H.R. 3200 and leave a comment. I look forward to reading your thoughts and restoring public trust in the government by raising the level of openness, order and discourse. On January 20th, 2009 the White House promised to publish legislation on their website “for five days, and allow the public to review and comment before the President sign it.” Nine months later, the President has not lived up to his promise. Since the President has failed to live up to his word, today I am making H.R. 3200 available for public comment through a new technology called Sharedbook....

H.R. 3200 would enact a series of synergistic causal sequences. This would start with an instantaneous increase in demand as new consumers enter the system or existing consumers demand more medical goods and services. Clinics, practices, and hospitals currently rely on higher private insurance payouts to make up for the low reimbursement rates from Medicare. Under the new system, they would not receive it, either from the government plan or the private insurers. The government will not pay it. Insurance companies, required to cover pre-existing conditions, maintain coverage unconditionally, and cap premiums, will have no choice but to cut payments...

The Administration has used the financial collapse that government brought us very well: It gave Congress a “Stimulus” bill that provided more pork than Congress itself might have had the nerve to include while effectively repealing the Clinton/Gingrich reform of federal welfare; it budgeted spending in numbers only computers can handle and it took command of the major banks, a huge chunk of insurance and the U.S. auto industry; to that, it is preparing to add a takeover of the student loan business and wage control of banking and possibly others. Not bad for less than a year’s work! But...

First, the bad news. For the first time since 1975, Social Security recipients are being told they won't be receiving an annual cost of living increase in their monthly benefits. At the same time, their Medicare premiums will go up, so monthly checks will actually shrink next year. Not to worry, though. Here's the good news. Seniors may not have to live on such meager funds for long because the government is going to help them plan how they want to die. This benevolent plan is in Section 1233 (p. 424) of the health care reform bill known as "America's...

THE House of Repre sentatives has re buked Rep. Joe Wil son (R-SC) for shouting out, "You lie!" during President Obama's speech to Congress last week. It was certainly a breach of decorum and House rules -- but it's well worth noting that Wilson had a substantial point. What prompted the exclamation, after all, was the president's assertion: "There are also those who claim that our reform efforts would insure illegal immigrants. This too is false." If only. In fact, the House's lead health-reform bill (HR 3200), would give taxpayer-paid insurance to illegal aliens.

Federal Powers: Where in the U.S. Constitution does it say the government can force people to buy health insurance? And by what authority does it prohibit the purchasing of insurance across state lines?A key part of the administration's plan to reform health care is what is called the "individual mandate" — a requirement that everyone must have health insurance either through his or her employer or purchased individually. A good chunk of the uninsured are that way of their own volition. They are young and healthy and feel they have better things to do with their money at this point...

The Truth About the Health Care Bills - Michael Connelly, Ret. Constitutional Attorney 08.24.09 Well, I have done it! I have read the entire text of proposed House Bill 3200: The Affordable Health Care Choices Act of 2009. I studied it with particular emphasis from my area of expertise, constitutional law. I was frankly concerned that parts of the proposed law that were being discussed might be unconstitutional. What I found was far worse than what I had heard or expected. To begin with, much of what has been said about the law and its implications is in fact true,...

In general, statists like Obama have been trying for decades to impose government run healthcare so that they can control everyone’s lives. No matter how limited the reach of any initial, enabling legislation, they will never stop trying to reach their basic goals – through future amendments, executive directives, and interpretations and decisions of regulators, and their goals are to put everyone under government care and include illegals and abortion. 1. Despite assurances from Obama on covering illegals and abortion, Democrats have put forth deceptive language in their bills that appear to prevent this coverage, but they have soundly defeated...

Regarding Charles Krauthammer's Aug. 29 column ("Obamacare 2.0: A Seductive Exit Strategy -- With a Catch"): I was pleased to see that someone finally did their research on a drug I use daily to save sight. Lucentis injections have transformed the lives of the elderly who are unfortunate enough to have (wet) macular degeneration. We (ophthalmologists) have enthusiastically been able to help our patients maintain their independence as well as their dignity with this relatively new drug. It is important to note that even now, according to my Genentec reps, the "Orwellian body" Mr. Krauthammer speaks of in Britain still...

Here’s how. In Section 2511 (pages 993-1001) of H.R. 3200, the House version of health care reform legislation, provision is made for “School-Based Health Clinics” (SBHCs for short). Under the provisions of this section, the Secretary of Health...

I have looked through the incomprehensible HR 3200 and can find no discernable reference to private long term care health insurance. However, my read suggests that ObamaCare will also end all private LTC insurance policies and replace them with ... nothing. Since LTC premiums are adjusted severy several years tro reflect a person's age, the bill suggests that once that occurs your LTC insurance is automatically canceled and you get ... nothing. You get to die at home. Quickly. Anyone out there who has deciphered ObamaCare enough to clarify this?

Based on our analysis of Census Bureau data, we estimate that there are 6.6 million uninsured ILLEGAL ALIENS who could be COVERED BY THE NEW HEALTH CARE REFORM BILL. Even though HR 3200 states that illegal immigrants are not eligible for the proposed taxpayer-funded affordable premium credits, there is NOTHING in the bill to enforce this. An amendment was defeated by Democrats that would have required the use of the effective Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) program, used by ALL OTHER means-tested programs of this kind. ["YOU LIE!," shouted Rep. Joe Wilson (R-SC) when Obama said illegal aliens would...
