A new Harris Poll commissioned by the pro-LGBT media group GLAAD shows that the percentage of non-gay Americans aged 18-34, who are considered allies of the LGBT community, fell from 63% in 2016 to 45% in 2018. In addition, the percentage of non-gay Americans aged 18-34 who felt uncomfortable in personal situations involving LGBTQ persons increased. For instance, the percentage of normal Americans who felt “uncomfortable” in learning a family member is LGBTQ rose from 24% to 36%. Sarah Kate Ellis, president and CEO of GLAAD, said of the survey’s findings, “The decline in acceptance [of LGBTs] and rise in...

The White House Correspondents Dinner was again a hostile zone for President Trump, underlining it's no mystery why the president skips it. White House Correspondents Association president Olivier Knox of Sirius XM Radio first paid tribute to the group's lawyer, who filed a brief against CNN screamer Jim Acosta being denied his press pass for a few days. "No president should get to pick and choose who covers him!" And then Knox went full Drama Queen: And yet, I still separate my career into the period before February of 2017, and what came afterwards. And that's because February 2017 is...

FULL HEADLINE: Here Are The Most Intriguing Statements From Democrats And 2020 Contenders At Al Sharpton’s National Action Network Convention Democrats made eyebrow-raising statements about identity politics and hot-button policy issues before a largely black audience in New York this week at the National Action Network Convention. Democratic A-listers, including every leading presidential candidate, are speakers this year at the annual conference for the civil rights group Rev. Al Sharpton founded. It kicked off Wednesday and runs through Saturday. The convention will “provide an opportunity to revisit the current state of the national civil rights movement in America,” according to...

To see populism as the problem is to see the events upside-down. People wanting to take control of their own destinies is a good thing. The problem lies with the fragility or even nonexistence of lawful institutions — or sufficient forces to defend them — and with the oligarchic, incompetent, or authoritarian rule that provoked populist reactions in the first place. The criticism of "populism" and "nationalism" tends to become a criticism of "democracy" or even a corporatist protection of an institutionalised oligarchy. Thus, mainstream media's reporting that populism and nationalism are a threat is misdirecting the people from the...

The reactions of many on the left to the case of Jussie Smollett prove two important things: 1. There is little racism in America. 2. The left -- white and black -- is morally and psychologically impaired. There is no doubt that most Americans on the left, including black Americans, are distraught over the fact that Smollet faked the "racist" attack on him. Apparently, leftists, Democratic leaders and, most depressingly, many of his fellow blacks wish Smollett had been attacked by white racist homophobes. Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif., a white leftist, tweeted, "I hope this was not something that Mr....

A poll of United States service members and veterans finds that only 39 percent approve of transgender individuals serving in the military. When the sex of the respondent is a factor, the poll – which surveyed the views of 1,031 service members and veterans – shows that 37 percent of male members approve of transgender troops, while 62 percent of females approve. Only 32 percent of the Greatest Generation (World War II) approve of transgender troops, while 39 percent of Baby Boomers, 42 percent of Generation X, and 55 percent of Millennials approve.

The idea that people can change their sex simply by thinking they are not the male or female they were born is utter foolishness, regardless of the newly created psycho-idiomatic lexicon now being employed to identify the ever-increasing sub-categories of this dysphoria. It is a form of an irrational psychological imbalance that is self-destructive. It is a mental disorder. Altering one’s body through surgery doesn’t change the sex a person was born. It simply adds or deletes organs that were or were not there. It is madness to believe otherwise. Surgery that alters one’s appearance doesn’t change a person’s sex...

Various leftist grievance groups have insisted for years that they just want equal treatment and equal rights, that they only want to end discrimination and that they come with an attitude of "live and let live." Nope. We've long known that the "tolerance" police don't merely want equal rights and to be treated with civility. They require that you honor their ideas as superior, reject your own contrary ideas and do penance for ever having held your own ideas. If you make the mistake of dissenting from their dogma, you must be shamed -- and punished. There is no semblance...

In January of 2017, when the political controversy over Donald Trump’s perplexing win over Hillary Clinton in the 2016 national election was at its peak, my professor began his political psychology course by asking the lecture hall the following: “How many of you wish Hillary had won the election?” The question was voluntary, yet nearly every hand in the room shot up. “Okay, and how many of you supported Trump winning the election?” The room was quiet as not a single hand was raised, followed by a few chuckles. “Next, how many of you feel that liberals are safe walking...

Vice, a sprawling, star-studded $60 million gamble from Annapurna Pictures that will hit theaters Christmas Day (think 200 location shots and 200 speaking parts, including five-time Oscar nominee Amy Adams as Lynne Cheney, newly minted Oscar winner Sam Rockwell as George W. Bush, Steve Carell as Donald Rumsfeld and Tyler Perry as Colin Powell). Written by McKay, Vice chronicles the rise of Cheney from his days in the Nixon administration, where he made an alliance with a hawkish Rumsfeld, to his eight-year reign in the White House during which he ran a shadow government under Bush's nose. In typical McKay...

John, a father of two in Colorado, had no idea what his 15-year-old son had gotten into, until one night last year when John walked into his home office. We're not using his last name to protect his son's privacy. John saw a large pile of papers facedown next to his printer. He turned them over and found a copy of a notorious neo-Nazi propaganda book. "It's 'the white culture's in trouble, we are under attack by Jews, blacks, every other minority.' It was scary. It was absolutely frightening to even see that in my house. I was shaking, like,...

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Zarif said Sunday that the Iranian government has worked closely with billionaire George Soros' Open Society Foundations (OSF) organization. Zarif made the remarks in response to questions raised in the Iranian parliament. According to Zarif, the activity began before he entered his current position, and he boasted that he had succeeded in "keeping the activity organized." OSF has funded a number of far-left organizations in Israel which seek to change the policy of Israel's government.

What follows is a lovely object lesson – one for the books, really – showcasing the blind, unreasoning hatred of a media talking head toward President Donald Trump. Earlier this week, ESPN’s Max Kellerman saw fit to publicly denigrate golf great Tiger Woods for his refusal to become enrolled in the political left’s campaign of calumny and invective aimed at Trump. Apparently, Woods was asked on Sunday after the final round of The Northern Trust tournament about his relationship with Trump. As it happens, Woods and Trump have played golf together on more than a few occasions. In response to...

The American Left is stoking hatred and it’s tearing us apart. Our media is guilty of not only of failing to shame those responsible, in many cases they egg them on, giving them a platform. The volume of irrational hatred spewing into our ether is extremely unhealthy, even dangerous for our republic and the broader American culture.

Fox News anchor Shannon Bream had a sudden change of plans on the night of President Donald Trump‘s historic announcement of his Supreme Court nominee. Earlier on Monday night, Trump nominated D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Brett Kavanaugh to fill the soon-to-be-vacant seat of Justice Anthony Kennedy, who announced his retirement last month. After the big primetime reveal by the president, Bream had planned on doing a live show from outside the steps of the Supreme Court. But her plans were scuttled thanks to protests near her broadcast location.
