In January of 2017, when the political controversy over Donald Trump’s perplexing win over Hillary Clinton in the 2016 national election was at its peak, my professor began his political psychology course by asking the lecture hall the following: “How many of you wish Hillary had won the election?” The question was voluntary, yet nearly every hand in the room shot up. “Okay, and how many of you supported Trump winning the election?” The room was quiet as not a single hand was raised, followed by a few chuckles. “Next, how many of you feel that liberals are safe walking across campus expressing their political views?” Every hand once again went into the air. “And how many of you feel that conservatives are safe to walk around campus expressing their political views?” The room filled with laughter as nobody raised their hand.

If a person can manage to stay detached from personal feelings, one cannot help but note that the most rigid thinking these days is espoused by the so-called Liberals of our country. But then, the "Liberal" label has been nothing more than a disguise for several decades. The hate of the statists among us has gotten way out of hand, and has been encouraged by the lack of a crackdown on Antifa rioters and others of that ilk.

FR POSTED---Joseph “Jose” Alcoff works with congressional Democrats as part of his day job as a manager with a DC-based advocacy group. But he spreads socialist and communist propaganda when going by the name “Jose Martin.” Identifying as “Chepe.”

Alcoff holds an especially militant view towards law enforcement, an institution he believes should be dismantled completely. “Police lives don’t matter. They can all burn in Hell,” he tweeted in September, for example. His tweets also glorify the killing of his political opponents. For example, in July 2015 he tweeted that Donald Trump would make for “such a spectacular public guillotining” shortly after the mogul declared his candidacy for president. “I truly hope he has a very public death at the hands of the pitchfork wielding exploited, a public execution that befits Trump’s stature,” he wrote.Alcoff said he wanted to join “a conspiracy to destroy the United States from within” — a position that doesn’t seem to have changed.

Alcoff, whose job puts him alongside lawmakers, tweeted in September that most members of Congress are “imbeciles,” and later said that “it wouldn’t be hard” to “push an anti-imperialist, anti-militarist line” on incoming left and center-left members.

He also boasted in October that his job duties involved actively working to block Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court. One tweet suggested that Alcoff’s D.C. colleagues aren’t aware of his radicalism.

Alcoff, through Twitter, frequently calls for the complete dismantlement of America’s system of government. In a 2013 tweet, Alcoff said he wanted to join “a conspiracy to destroy the United States from within” — a position that doesn’t seem to have changed.

When one side essentially criminalizes the other side, which is where this has been heading since Trump was elected, the result is always ... ALWAYS ... the same. The winner will not risk their power by just warning the other side, they will arrest, imprison, and murder on a grand scale. The Romans did it. The Greeks did it. The communists all did it. Hitler did it. Keep going through history, you'll see it repeated over and over and over.

To those who said all my life "it can't happen here", they were wrong. It can, it likely will. I had hoped it would be long after I and my child were both long gone, but it feels like the left wants to make a decisive stand, they take over and start the gulags going, or they are destroyed. And right now it feels like they are winning.

Here the writer jumped the shark.

The Crusaders were NOT marching through Europe.

They were marching to the Near East.

And the Crusades happened against the backdrop of centuries of unprovoked Muslim aggression that was ongoing.

The Crusades were as a response to Islam entirely justified.

After the Crusades the Muslim heathens renewed their aggression, and indeed they never stopped elsewhere.

The battles waged by the Crusaders were few, those launched by Islam were many, in the hundreds, and they continue till this very day.

Maybe the writer was careless and meant to speak of the Inquisition, but his words that he actually wrote were simply wrong.

Just as, while we’re at it, his notion that Leftists are non-conformists ... they are the ultimate conformists, they are so self-proclaimed unique that you can hardly tell them apart. Their “non-conformity” is a self-serving myth, all they do is ape those who may have once been non-conformists, if even that. Fear of being different in any matter of ideology is rampant.

Likewise, to further criticize the writer’s missteps, there was little of traditional middle classed values in Nazism that wasn’t twisted into a mockery of those values. Nazism held more in common with the French Terrors and it took all their neopagan anti-Christian racist bullshit to make them as bad as Marxists can and have got without the help. And they weren’t fascist (which is bad enough), they were socialist (which is worse). The Italians were fascist, the Spanish were fascist, and they were NOT Nazis.

A bit of a correction, but the Spaniards were NOT Fascists, nor were they Socialists. Actually, if anything the Spanish Republicans came far closer to actually BEING Socialist/Fascist than Francisco Franco did (and besides, socialism and fascism are actually joined at the hip, as even Benito Mussolini stated).

Other than that bit, you are entirely correct in your post.
