Joe Biden’s campaign website contains a long list of gun-control proposals: national gun licensing; red-flag laws, which let judges seize guns without a hearing or mental-health evaluation; and bans on semiautomatic guns that look like military weapons.

Our Statistician has been at it again. Take a look at his latest project... Here's another may - this time, it's shootings in the city. We'll let you make your own correlations between where shootings happen as compared to the make up of the city. So the people (and folks) who are getting killed at the highest rate are the ones who put Crimesha into office? Someone want to contact Eric Holder and see if we can't have that discussion he was always whining about?

Earlier this week, Governor Gavin Newsom signed into law a bill that requires newer model handguns in California to be microstamped.Gun manufacturers and firearm advocates denounced the decision, noting that it not only violates Second Amendment rights and would increase black market activity and and non-registered weapons in the state, but would also hurt economically during a time of economic downturn.Controversial AB 2847 signed into lawAssemblyman David Chiu. (Photo: Kevin Sanders for California Globe) Assembly Bill 2847, authored by Assemblyman David Chiu (D-San Francisco), specifically notes that microstamping, which imprints tiny markings on cartridges that had been fired from the...

The nation's largest gun-control group dodged guns entirely in a new swing state ad campaign that abandons the group's core issue to focus on health care. Documents obtained by the Washington Free Beacon show Everytown for Gun Safety Action Fund, supported in large part by donations from billionaire Michael Bloomberg, is funding ads that assail Republicans on health care rather than gun control. The ads target state-level politicians in Pennsylvania, Iowa, North Carolina, Arizona, and Minnesota. The postcard-style ads, copies of which are posted to the back end of the group's website, have nearly identical wording. In an ad against...

Rickey Kanter, who owned a Wisconsin company that sold therapeutic shoes and footwear inserts under the brand name Dr. Comfort, pleaded guilty in 2011 to one count of mail fraud for shipping inserts he falsely claimed were approved by Medicare to a podiatrist in Florida. Kanter received a prison sentence of a year and day, followed by two years of supervised release. He also paid a $50,000 fine and agreed, in a separate civil settlement, to pay Medicare a $27 million reimbursement. But that was not the end of his punishment, since his felony conviction meant that he permanently lost...

According to gun prohibitionists, Europe is much safer than the United States, because Europe has stricter gun control. In fact, the historical record shows that excessive gun control (as in Europe) is about a hundred times more deadly than "insufficient" gun control (as, supposedly, in the U.S.). While a lone criminal with a gun can be very dangerous, a criminal government with a disarmed population is the deadliest thing on Earth. Let's start with the data. If U.S. gun homicide rates had been as low as European rates in the 20th century, how many lives might have been saved? According...

U.S. Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) encapsulated in 384 pages of his new book “The Violence Inside Us” one central theme: America can’t be trusted with freedom. “You know, it’s called ‘The Violence Inside Us’ because the conclusion I come to is that America is a violent place. We have always been a violent place,” Senator Murphy explained to MSNBC’s Kasie Hunt. The problem is Senator Murphy didn’t arrive at that conclusion, he started with it. He got there by cherry-picking historical facts, isolating them out of context, and wedging them to fit a narrative that American freedom is bad and must...

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine called on lawmakers in the Buckeye State this week to pass a series of reforms aimed at blunting the spike in gun-related violence. The reforms are part of a larger plan called “STRONG Ohio” that DeWine introduced in October of 2019 in the wake of the Dayton massacre. “I’m going to keep saying it. We have to, in Ohio, get tougher on repeat violent offenders,” DeWine stated on Tuesday, according to local media. “We have to get tougher on those who are convicted felons who have absolutely no business having a gun. We need to do...

A handgun, not an assault rifle, was used to shoot the deputies. But it seems that Biden never misses an opportunity to deceptively complain about “weapons of war.”

Kamala Harris was seen leaving an appearance in Miami where she was guarded by a Secret Service officer armed with an assault weapon - the same type of gun she vowed to ban. In the photos exclusively obtained by DailyMail.com, the VP hopeful is seen leaving Florida Memorial University on Thursday, ironically being protected by the same assault rifle that she promised to ban within the first 100 days of her term. It's worth noting, however, that Secret Service agents are trained and equipped to handle such a weapon.

Despite his promise to name Beto “Hell Yes, We’re Going to Take Your AR-15” O’Rourke as gun czar, Joe Biden claims he doesn’t support confiscation of firearms, merely a friendly “voluntary buyback program” and a national registry for law-abiding owners of so-called “assault weapons.” After two cops were ambushed in Los Angeles by gunmen this weekend, Biden promised that he’ll take “assault weapons and high-capacity magazines” and “weapons of war” off the streets. Setting aside the fact that the AR-15 isn’t a “weapon of war” and it is seldom used in criminality, why is Biden even talking about them now?...

Weapons of war have no place in our communities. We need to ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines.

Draconian enforcement of COVID-19 lockdown accelerates. Yet another shock video out of Australia shows police enforcing coronavirus rules by arresting an elderly woman sitting on a park bench for not wearing a mask. “This is unlawful, on what grounds am I under arrest?” asks the woman. An officer then walks around the back of the bench and snatches her friend’s phone away, preventing her from filming the encounter. The woman is told that she is being arrested for failing to provide her name and address. ... Once a person has been targeted for not wearing a mask or violating any...

Doctor of Economics John Lott, Jr. is the expert on gun research because he’s done most of it. His Crime Prevention Research Center is the central repository of answers to all questions about the wrongness of gun control and how in truth guns save lives. More Guns, Less Crime (his classic introduction) and his previous book The War on Guns are the perfect foundations for Gun Control Myths—together these form a compendium that addresses most of the fraudulent claims that have been made about how guns surely (but don’t) cause “gun violence”.

Dana (@DLoesch) talks with the President of the Crime Prevention Research Center, and author, John Lott Jr. (@JohnRLottJr) on how important this upcoming election actually is. If Democrats end up controlling the Senate - and keep the House, they will eliminate the filibuster. Therefore a simple majority could overturn many things, including your natural rights. One of the data sets that the media ignores, is the Defensive Use of Guns (DGU), because that data shows millions of people using guns in the act of defense, and the amazing part of that data is that it shows that often times crime...

An 11-year-old and a 12-year-old student in Colorado were temporarily suspended from school after they were spotted with an Airsoft gun and a toy gun, respectively, during their online lessons. Story 1: 11-year-old Maddox Blow, who goes to Bell Middle School in Golden, Colorado, told the FOX31 Problem Solvers that he finished a quiz early at one of his online classes and got bored waiting for the others, so he took his Airsoft gun and started fidgeting with it. The teacher noticed Blow playing with the Airsoft gun several hours after the lesson while reviewing the recordings. According to an...

An Arvada man says he doesn’t regret his actions after confronting a would-be carjacker outside the King Soopers at 58th and Independence in Arvada. About 12:30 p.m. on Aug. 28, Paul Heagerty says he feared the worst when a man walked up to him while he was putting away his groceries. The man threatened Heagerty with a gun. “I was like, ‘Oh my God, I’m going to get shot,'” Heagerty said. The man demanded the keys to Heagerty’s car. He says seconds later, there was a gun pointed at his stomach. “It was surreal. When he pulled that gun, I...

Last week, President Trump claimed the election will determine the future of private gun ownership in the United States. On Saturday, the NRA tweeted out that a Biden win “will destroy our Second Amendment.” They are right. If Democrats gain control, Joe Biden and Senate Democrats promise a radical change in the Senate by eliminating the filibuster, which will allow them to pass any legislation that they want with a simple majority vote.

The National Rifle Association’s former second-in-command is breaking with the group’s orthodoxy and calling for universal background checks and so-called red flag laws in a new book assailing the organization as more focused on money and internal intrigue than the Second Amendment, while thwarting constructive dialogue on gun violence. The former executive, Joshua L. Powell, who was fired by the N.R.A. in January, reinforces the kind of criticism made of the organization by gun control groups and state regulators, but it is the first critical look at its recent history by such a high-ranking insider. He describes the N.R.A.’s longtime...
