Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said Tuesday that the U.S. will soon announce an additional $2.3 billion in security assistance for Ukraine, to include anti-tank weapons, interceptors and munitions for Patriot and other air defense systems. Austin’s remarks came as Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov met with him at the Pentagon. And they mark a strong response to pleas from Kyiv for help in battling Russian forces in the Donetsk region. Austin said the aid will come through presidential drawdown authority, which allows the Pentagon to take the weapons from its stocks and send them more quickly to Ukraine.

Embattled former Mayor Rudy Giuliani – a former prosecutor known for his work in taking down the mob in the Big Apple – can no longer practice law in New York, an appeals court ruled Tuesday. “Rudolph William Giuliani, is disbarred from the practice of law, effective immediately, and until the further order of this Court, and his name stricken from the roll of attorneys and counselors-at-law in the State of New York,” the First Department appeals court wrote in a decision released Tuesday. Giuliani – once known as America’s Mayor for his response to the 9/11 terror attacks –...

Lofgren: "He’s been very open about what he intends to do, and that’s retribution. He, himself, said last December he intends to terminate parts of the Constitution. He didn’t say which parts. Be didn’t say which parts but apparently, the Court is going to give him a wide range to terminate whatever he wants. You know, he summoned a mob to Washington knowing they were armed. He sent them to the Capitol to try to prevent the peaceful transfer of power. If that’s OK, we’ve got a problem in this country. And certainly, in the debate the other night, he...

NEW YORK — Donald Trump’s sentencing in his New York hush money case may be postponed from next week in light of Monday’s Supreme Court immunity ruling, with the Manhattan district attorney saying he is not opposed to a delay requested by Trump’s lawyers so they can seek to vacate his conviction. The Manhattan district attorney’s office noted in a letter to the court Tuesday that sentencing would have to be delayed from July 11 for the defense to make its case about how the Supreme Court’s decision could affect Trump’s state court prosecution.Trump’s conviction on 34 felony counts of...

John Dean, former White House counsel for the Nixon administration, said he believes former President Nixon “would have survived” the Watergate scandal if the Supreme Court’s immunity ruling issued Monday, which largely shields former presidents from criminal prosecution for actions in office, existed at the time. Asked what would’ve happened with Nixon if the immunity ruling was in place during the fallout from Watergate, Dean pointed to Justice Amy Coney Barrett, who split from the other conservative justices on a portion of the majority opinion regarding the use of president’s official acts as evidence in criminal prosecution against a former...

Manhattan prosecutors said Tuesday they would not oppose Donald Trump’s request to delay the sentencing in his hush money trial as he seeks to have the conviction overturned following a Supreme Court ruling that granted broad immunity protections to presidents. In a letter filed with the New York court, prosecutors with Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office said they would be open to a two-week delay in the July 11 sentencing in order to file a response to Trump’s motions. “Although we do believe the case to be without merit, we do not oppose his request” to delay the sentencing...

President Joe Biden’s aides are reportedly “scared *&*^&^%%” during briefings with him, as he refuses to take advice from anyone other than top aides. The reported leak from Politico represents frustration within the Biden campaign, which is reeling from a poor debate performance and subsequent calls for Biden to drop out of the race. “It’s like, ‘You can’t include that, that will set him off,’ or ‘Put that in, he likes that,’” one senior administration official told the outlet. “It’s a Rorschach test, not a briefing. Because he is not a pleasant person to be around when he’s being briefed....

Your future will be utterly destroyed because of these Neocons who are consumed with personal hatred of Russians. They are pushing American policymakers, arguing that Putin is bluffing and we can, therefore, destroy Russia, and he will never fire a shot. They insist that Putin won’t put his money where his mouth is regarding escalation. A delegate for President Joe Biden’s reelection effort warned on Monday that black women will abandon the party if Democrats replace the presumptive nominee with another “white man” instead of Vice President Kamala Harris. Biden spoke with a raspy voice and trailed off during the Thursday debate with former President Donald Trump, leading Americans to express concerns about his age and fitness for another four years as president. Areva Martin, an attorney and California delegate for Biden for President, said on “The Stephen A. Smith Show” that Democrats should “stay the course” with the president and that passing over Harris...

Forty-one percent of Democrat voters want President Joe Biden to drop out of the 2024 race, a Monday USA Today/Suffolk University poll found, while only 51 percent want him to remain on the ticket. The poll represents one of the first post-debate polls that Democrat operatives and donors will study to determine the total damage to Biden’s candidacy following his debate performance. By a five-to-one ratio, the poll found former President Donald Trump won the exchange. Only 28 percent of Biden supporters said he won. Only 24 percent of Democrats said the debate increased their support for Biden, while nine...

Ukrainian officials said Monday that they thwarted an attempted coup, arresting individuals who had conspired to allegedly stage a riot in Kyiv. Ukraine’s internal security service, known as the SBU, said a group of activists were detained for trying to create riots over the weekend that would lead to the removal of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s government in power. The alleged attempt took place Sunday, as Ukraine was commemorating the anniversary of its constitution. The SBU did not name the individuals and it’s unclear if they are connected to Russia, which invaded Ukraine in 2022 and has made multiple efforts...

On Monday, President Biden delivered a surprise four-and-a-half minute address condemning the Supreme Court’s decision in Donald Trump v. The United States released that morning. Special prosecutor Jack Smith has alleged that Trump conspired to overturn the 2020 presidential election by “spreading knowingly false claims of election fraud.” Trump’s legal team argued that the allegations made by Smith fell under “the outer perimeter” of Trump’s official duties as president, and he was therefore immune from prosecution (so the charges should be summarily dismissed). The Supreme Court ruled that a former president is “presumptively” immune from prosecution for any “official” duties...

President Biden has allegedly been observed experiencing mental decline on as many as 20 occasions over the past year — suggesting his disastrous debate performance last week was “not a one-off,” sources close to the president told legendary journalist Carl Bernstein. The 81-year-old commander-in-chief’s close circle were not strangers to the “horror show that we witnessed” during his disastrous debate with former President Donald Trump, Bernstein told CNN’s Anderson Cooper Monday. “These are people, several of them who are very close to President Biden, who loved him, have supported him, and among them are some people who would raise a...

Anxious Democratic donors grilled Biden campaign officials on a Zoom call Monday, pressing Biden's team on how it will deal with new concerns about his fitness for office, according to four donors on the call. Why it matters: There wasn't much panic during the special call for wealthy donors — but there was a fair degree of skepticism. Donors' questions revealed deep doubts within the Democratic Party on whether Biden has the stamina, skill and substance to go toe-to-toe with former President Trump for the next four months, defeat him on Nov. 5, and serve another four-year term. Donors didn't...

Former President Trump’s chances of winning back the White House have soared in recent days — pitching Democrats into a stew of panic and despair. A week ago Democrats clung to several hopes, only to see each of them dashed in a period shorter than 90 hours. They believed President Biden could use an early first debate to prove his vigor and acuity. They thought the debate would focus voters’ minds on the perils of a potential second Trump presidency. And they hoped Trump might find himself on trial for Jan. 6-related offenses before November. None of it happened. Biden’s...

President Joe Biden was roundly mocked after he debuted his new spray tan during his remarks about the Supreme Court’s decision on Donald Trump‘s immunity case. However, viewers noticed more than Biden’s bizarre look; they also noticed that he read “end of the quote” during another battle with the teleprompter. “Justice Sotomayor’s dissent today. She hears what she said. She said that in every use of official power, the president is now a king above the law with fear for our democracy. I dissent.” “End of quote.” But Biden’s spray-tanned look was a topic of conversation on social media. Following...
