It seems to me that if Christians are serious about avoiding errors that are 'incredibly damaging to the gospel and the church,' we will be careful to get sex and marriage exactly right. In a recent interview, newly ex-mega-church pastor Joshua Harris and author of the 1990s best-seller “I Kissed Dating Goodbye” remarked that the support President Trump has received from the evangelical community has been “incredibly damaging to the gospel and to the church.†I’d wager Harris is projecting something fierce. In August, Harris announced that he and his wife Shannon were divorcing, that he no longer considers himself a...

It's 2019, Donald Trump is the president of the United States, and Kanye West has released a gospel album. What a time to be alive. Today I discuss Kanye's newfound faith, his album “Jesus Is King,” and the reaction to all of it. Is this the real deal or not? And either way, how should Christians respond? I also give you an update and new analysis about the tragic James Younger case...

What are we to make of the news that rapper Kanye West has reportedly become a Christian -- "born again," according to his wife, Kim Kardashian West? I'm as cynical as the next person when it comes to stories like this, preferring to wait and see if there's any there there -- if the profession of faith was a flash in the pan or a true conversion that bears fruit. I'm doubly suspicious of professions of faith by big-name stars coming out of the entertainment industry. We've seen a lot of them over the years (hey, Katy Perry!), and more...

The world has its definition of what it thinks Christianity should be. Not surprisingly, it doesn't resemble what the Bible and what God defines Christianity as. The world is going to have a problem with biblical Christianity, and one of it's biggest problems will be Christianity's refusal to compromise on truth.

Someone asked me the following question: “Is it wise to have open-air preaching in an Islamic country like Malaysia? The constitutional law in Malaysia is basically Islamic. The country appears to be democratic but deep down it is rooted in Islamic core values.” This is my response: The answer to this must be your decision, but I will give you my thoughts to help you to shape yours. First, I would find an appropriate place to preach, and then make inquiries about the legalities of speaking in the open air. Perhaps a permit is required, and having one will keep...

In this video I seek to address John MacArthur's narrowing of *the Gospel* to Jesus coming to save us from Hell. The nature of the Gospel in the first century was a "political" proclamation and not limited to the salvation of the soul. The Gospel in this age, building out of Colossians 1, is cosmic in scope and not individual and "soulish."

Now Elisabeth’s full time came that she should be delivered; and she brought forth a son. And her neighbours and her cousins heard how the Lord had shewed great mercy upon her; and they rejoiced with her. And it came to pass, that on the eighth day they came to circumcise the child; and they called him Zacharias, after the name of his father. And his mother answered and said, Not so; but he shall be called John. And they said unto her, There is none of thy kindred that is called by this name. And they made signs to his...
