President Donald Trump pushed back on reporters who confronted him with a government report on global warming, saying he knew of “scientists that very much dispute it.” “Well, I think we’ve contributed, we certainly contribute, I mean, there’s certain pollutants that go up and there’s certain things that happen,” Trump said in an interview with Axios reporters that aired on HBO Sunday night. Axios reporters thought bringing a copy of the most recent National Climate Assessment (NCA) would make it harder for Trump to question its findings. It didn’t work.
  • Stunning new data indicates El Nino drove record highs in global (NON AGW? WHAT?)

Global average temperatures over land have plummeted by more than 1C since the middle of this year – their biggest and steepest fall on record. The news comes amid mounting evidence that the recent run of world record high temperatures is about to end. The fall, revealed by Nasa satellite measurements of the lower atmosphere, has been caused by the end of El Nino – the warming of surface waters in a vast area of the Pacific west of Central America.
  • Britain’s Stupid Climate Policy Needs the Donald Trump Treatment

Britain has now officially ratified the COP21 Paris climate agreement. The good news is that this will make no difference to anyone or anything because the agreement is toothless and non-binding. The bad news – as you can tell from some of the ministerial comments – is that it serves to remind us that Britain’s climate and energy policy is still in thrall to the environmentalist lunacy which wiser heads like Donald Trump are trying to write out of history. Wiser heads? Donald Trump?? Yes, I can almost hear the sneering and the jeering from the usual suspects. But even...

KIGALI, Rwanda (AP) — Nearly 200 nations have reached a deal, announced Saturday morning after all-night negotiations, to limit the use of greenhouse gases far more powerful than carbon dioxide in a major effort to fight climate change. The talks on hydrofluorocarbons, or HFCs, were called the first test of global will since the historic Paris Agreement to cut carbon emissions was reached last year. HFCs are described as the world's fastest-growing climate pollutant and are used in air conditioners and refrigerators. Experts say cutting them is the fastest way to reduce global warming. President Barack Obama, in a statement...
  • Survey Shows Most Americans Aren’t Buying the Climate Change Scare(DUH!)

The latest survey conducted by Washington-based Pew Research Center shows only 27 percent of Americans think that “almost all” climate scientists hold human behavior responsible for climate change, and only 48 percent think global climate change is “due to human activity.” This clashes with the frequent media assertion that Americans readily trust the so-called overwhelming “consensus” on climate change. The survey also found that far-left Democrats are much more likely to put their faith in climate scientists, while Republicans remain more skeptical. The survey noted that those skeptical of man’s influence on global warming aren’t science illiterate, a favorite talking...

....the Earth’s coasts actually gained land over the past 30 years, according to another study published August 25 in Nature Climate Change. Researchers led by Gennadii Donchyts from the Deltares Research Institute in the Netherlands found that the Earth’s surface gained a total of 58,000 square kilometers (22,393 square miles) of land over the past 30 years, including 33,700 sq. km. (13,000 sq. mi.) in coastal areas. “We expected that the coast would start to retreat due to sea level rise, but the most surprising thing is that the coasts are growing all over the world,” study co-author Fedor Baart...
  • French Mathematicians Blast UN’s ‘Costly & Pointless Crusade’ Against Global Warming

As the United Nations gears up for its next international conference on climate change in Paris next month (COP 21 [1]), a scathing white paper released by a society of French mathematicians calls its fight against global warming “absurd” and “a costly and pointless crusade”. “You would probably have to go quite a long way back in human…history to find [such a] mad obsession,” according to a translated summary of the document [2]released in September by the Paris-based Société de Calcul Mathématique SA [3]. The mathematicians harshly criticized a “crusade [that] has invaded every area of activity and everyone’s thinking,"...
