March 20, 2019 / 8:48 PM / CBS/AP Former Tallahassee mayor Andrew Gillum, who narrowly lost the race for Florida governor in November, announced Wednesday he will be launching a voter registration initiative in Florida. Its goal is to help Democrats win the state in 2020 and "evict Donald Trump" from the White House. "We are going to commit ourselves to registering and engaging one million voters between now and 2020's presidential election," Gillum told a crowd in Miami. "The road to the White House runs through Florida. We can deny Donald Trump a second term right here in the...

Former Tallahassee mayor and Democratic gubernatorial nominee Andrew Gillum is joining CNN as a political commentator... [snip]On Friday, Florida’s ethics commission said there is probable cause Gillum violated the state's ethics law. Gillum is accused of accepting gifts from lobbyists and vendors during his time as Tallahassee's mayor.

A Florida ethics commission announced Friday that there is sufficient evidence to proceed with an investigation into former Tallahassee mayor and Democratic gubernatorial nominee Andrew Gillum’s decision to accept gifts while on a trip with a local lobbyist in 2016. Gillum’s attorney, Barry Richard, told reporters Friday that an administrative-law judge would likely hear the case in the next 30 to 45 days. “We’re going to have a full evidentiary hearing before an independent judge. It’ll be open to the public, and everybody can decide for themselves,” Richard said following a closed-door hearing at the Florida First District Court of...

After losing close governor’s races in Georgia and Florida, Stacey Abrams and Andrew Gillum are joining other black leaders to oppose one of President Donald Trump’s picks for a lifetime federal judgeship. Abrams and Gillum say in a joint statement Tuesday that the Senate should reject Thomas Farr’s nomination to a district court in North Carolina. The Democrats say Farr has a “discriminatory ideology” that threatens the voting rights of nonwhites. …

Now that, finally, the elections in Florida have reached a conclusion, there are lessons worth learning. One is on the subject of race. There was a fateful anomaly in racial voting in the governor's race between Democrat Andrew Gillum and Republican Rick DeSantis, now Florida's governor-elect. Given that Gillum, formerly mayor of Tallahassee, was running to become the first black governor of Florida, we might have expected black enthusiasm for his candidacy on the order of the waves of black enthusiasm for the presidential candidacy of Barack Obama. But it didn't happen. Gillum received a lower percentage of the black...

What do Democrat, losers, Andrew Gillum, Stacey Abrams & Bill Nelson all have in common. Barack Hussein Obama, Michelle Obama, Hillary Clinton, Oprah Winfrey & Chuck Schumer all came to Florida and Georgia to campaign for them...and all of them lost their races. Of course, the Democrats with brains & street smarts, realized that having the Obama's, Clinton, Schumer & Winfrey campaign for them is the kiss of political death. I see the Clintons have cancelled their grand tour, no one has signed up to attend. Methinks, the Obama's and Clinton's are toast as effective campaigners for any Democrats. Case...

Democrat Andrew Gillum officially conceded to Republican former Rep. Ron DeSantis in Florida’s gubernatorial race as a recount of votes showed a margin Gillum was unlikely to close.

Gillum, Nelson in court demanding ballot from non-American be counted. Stunning. A transcript of a court hearing on the voting in Florida reveals a startling fact. The campaigns of Democrat Andrew Gillum, the gubernatorial nominee, and Democrat Bill Nelson, the incumbent U.S. Senator are both demanding in a court hearing that the vote of a non-American citizen be counted. Gillum and Nelson lost their respective races to Republican Congressman Ron DeSantis and Governor Rick Scott. As it stands at the moment, both Scott and DeSantis have the lead but are hemorrhaging votes as evidence piles up that local officials are...

Democrats and Republicans are bracing for a protracted and volatile recount in Florida as election officials rush to meet a Thursday deadline to complete the process. Recounts in three statewide races were in full swing, with the nail-biter race between Sen. Bill Nelson (D) and Gov. Rick Scott (R) taking center stage. Votes are also being retabulated for the state's gubernatorial race between former Rep. Ron DeSantis (R) and Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum (D). The unfolding drama, and the legal battles surrounding it, are reminiscent of Florida’s presidential recount battle in 2000 that resulted in the election of former President...

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – As election departments across the state begin the process of recounting the votes from the 2018 midterm elections, the candidates whose races will be decided by the count are speaking out. “Even if it takes you into the middle of next week, you better count every vote. We’re not going to be shushed. We’re not going to be sat down. We are not going to be ignored,” said Democratic gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum during an address at New Mount Olive Baptist Church in Ft. Lauderdale. Others have appealed to the courts. “Senator Nelson is clearly trying to...

Now, county election officials will feed ballots into machines to recount the results in those races. The second round of results is due to the state by 3 p.m. Thursday.

If the results show a margin of 0.25 percent or less, as in the case of the most heated race of the three, between U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson and Gov. Rick Scott for Senate, a hand recount is ordered. Results from a hand recount would be due Sunday, Nov. 18 at noon.

The establishment media is dismissing the election scandal in Florida as a conservative conspiracy theory, but the evidence indicates something strange is afoot. Republican Governor Rick Scott beat incumbent Democratic Sen. Bill Nelson for the state’s open Senate seat, but days after the election, election supervisors in Broward and Palm Beach counties were still adding votes to the tally. he supervisors refused to share where the additional ballots were coming from and how many were left to count, leading Republicans in the state to cry foul. The media swiftly rebuked Republican concerns of potential fraud or misconduct as “conspiracy theories”...

Lawyers for the Florida Democratic gubernatorial and Senate candidates objected Friday to the rejection of a provisional ballot cast by a noncitizen, according to a transcript obtained by Fox News. The incident occurred during a canvassing meeting Friday in Palm Beach County, where provisional ballots were being examined. According to the draft transcript of the meeting, taken by a court reporter hired by the Florida Republican Party, a provisional ballot was ordered excluded from the count, as it came from a non-U.S. citizen. “First one of these we’ve seen,” said Judge August Bonativa. “Not a U.S. citizen, not counted.” said...

Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum (D) withdrew his concession to Republican candidate Ron DeSantis in the Florida gubernatorial race on Saturday as a recount in the state begins. . . Gillum initially conceded the race on Tuesday after returns showed him trailing by 1 point. That margin narrowed considerably, however, as new vote totals came in from Broward and Palm Beach counties on Thursday and Friday, putting the race in recount territory.

Lawyers for Florida Democratic candidates Andrew Gillum and Bill Nelson both fought to prevent a non-citizen’s vote from being excluded Friday night, according to a transcript of a Palm Beach County Canvassing Board proceeding obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation. Michael Barnett, chairman of the Palm Beach Republican Party, told TheDCNF that the county’s canvassing board was going through provisional ballots and quickly deciding whether to allow or disallow each. This exchange is of the first non-citizen’s vote they encountered. “We had a court reporter that we hired to sit in the proceedings, which are public,” he said. The...

Democratic candidates Bill Nelson and Andrew Gillum have their own team of attorneys watching the canvassing board closely, looking for anything that could change the result of the elections and snatch the Senate and Gubernatorial wins from exiting Governor Rick Scott and newly elected Governor Ron DeSantis. Apparently, that includes counting non-U.S. citizens’ votes.

All counties have completely reported everything except overseas and military ballots. https://floridaelectionwatch.gov/CountyReportingStatus There aren't any more ballots in Broward or Palm Beach. As I predicted in another thread, Scott holds a 12.5K lead. No recount ever, anywhere, in history has overturned a lead of that magnitude. The largest change in votes in a recount previously was Gore's attempted theft of Florida in 2000, and even with all the shenanigans and hanging chads, he only managed to turn about 1200 votes. This is 10x that number for Scott and nearly 30x that number for DeSantis.
