This came as Saudi Arabia tabled a motion on Oct. 17 to defer the vote by one year.
The United Nations body specializing in regulating global shipping voted on Oct. 17 to delay a vote on the adoption of a proposed framework that would impose a global carbon tax on international shipping—a regulation the United States has strongly opposed.

Global carbon tax on shipping. OK, just what does this tax fund? It really does not matter as it is a glowbull warming money grab scheme.
The League of Nations was discarded because it failed to stop wars. With the UN we have the same scenario. It’s worthless. It needs to go away too.

I can’t recall which northeastern state, but the Left was desperate to increase taxes and the measure failed. So, they legislated that the tax, which had huge support, was voluntary. They collected ZERO revenue. Tax measures are supported by people who usually don’t pay taxes. Billionaires often support increased income taxes. If a billionaire wants to buy a hundred-million-dollar yacht he doesn’t pay for it out of income. He uses his assets to get a loan, which is then an expense, and pays for it that way while his assets continue to appreciate. (By the way, the billionaire often gets tax credits for buying the yacht, which is why they often own several they’ve never even seen.)
It’s amazing what happens when people are required to put their own money where their mouths are.
Note to the globe: The American cash cow has left the barn.

Keep in mind: The situation is so dire that the carbon tax on shipping has been tabled for a year.
