On June 24, the streets of New York City are slated to resonate with the largest Gay Pride March in history, with over 450 contingents and more than 110 floats parading down Fifth Avenue. The event is one of untold hundreds of events taking place across the country this month, designated “Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Pride Month” in 2009 by former President Barack Obama.
