Just a short video at the link. I don't know how to embed videos. Ocured to me, the warden was more effective than multiple deputies in Broward county doing what I consider to being their job.

Like most members of law enforcement, Lynn Koch dreads the day he has to draw his service weapon. Even if to protect his own life, it can mean death to another person. But on a cold winter day Koch, a Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks game warden, drew his .45 Glock to save the lives of two animals, and ensure the safety of another game warden and his own. “I have a lariat in my pickup, but knew there was no way to use it without one of us maybe getting hurt,” Koch said of when he and fellow...
  • Texas Parks and Wildlife Now Has a SWAT Team (Is the militarization of police finally complete?)

The man in the photo to the left isn't a Ranger in Afghanistan's Korengal Valley. He's a Texas game warden, kitted out to check your deer tags or lead a paramilitary, kick-the-door-in assault on your tent. The militarization of every possible law enforcement entity in America is complete: Texas Parks and Wildlife now has a SWAT team. The 25-man unit can deploy anywhere in the state within four hours, TPWD boasts, and is modeled after what military types call a "force multiplier," which basically means that these guys can shoot a bunch of bullets. At what, you ask? In this...

It's quiet at this Elliston home until a bear shows up. "He had done destroyed the trash, strung it all over the place," said Paul Perkins. It claws trash cans and leaves it's prints on a grill. Paul calls State Police and animal control, then the game warden. "The game warden is the only man who can handle this problem. That's what everybody tells me," he said. He says he never got a call back and the bear kept coming back. Paul's neighbor gave him some rubber buck shot game wardens said would deter the bear. "The buck shot hit...

NOVATO, Calif. - An 82-year-old animal lover was arrested this week on allegations he grabbed and brandished a trapper's revolver during a scuffle over the skunk. Lou Kessler was arrested Tuesday. He was released on his own recognizance Wednesday after being charged with misdemeanor counts of using a firearm in a fight and disturbing the peace. The victim, Ron Bailey, 52, told The Press Democrat in a phone interview that he simply was doing his job as a state-licensed trapper and he believes Kessler disobeyed the law and attacked him. The scuffle allegedly began when Kessler and his wife went...
