A man in Florida confessed to murdering his roommate because the roommate threw the suspect’s plate full of food on the ground, according to authorities. Walmart has shared that managers misused $20,000 of a Christmas donation from a foundation associated with Chicago Bears linebacker Khalil Mack. Mack's foundation made the $80,000 donation last month to a location in Fort Pierce, Florida, where the star athlete was born and raised. The donation went towards 350 layaway accounts that totaled $60,000. The remaining funds reportedly went to employees in a decision made by the store's management.

Authorities say a Florida woman is blaming a windy day for the cocaine that police found in her purse. WPLG reported Kennecia Posey was one of two passengers in a car stopped by Fort Pierce police in late March. Police say an officer smelled marijuana and that, after searching the car, cocaine and marijuana in separate bags were found inside a purse Posey had on her lap. Authorities say they questioned Posey about the drugs. According to the police report, Posey responded: “It’s a windy day. It must have flown through the window and into my purse.”

LUCIE COUNTY -- Sheriff investigators have identified the body of a woman found in a suitcase floating in a ditch Saturday afternoon and have arrested a Fort Pierce man for allegedly killing his former girlfriend.
