"all we say to America is be true to what you are saying on paper...if I lived in China or even Russia or any totalitarian country maybe I could understand some of these illegal injunctions maybe I could understand the denial of certain basic First Amendment privileges because they have committed themselves to that over there. But somewhere I read of the Freedom of Assembly, somewhere I read of the Freedom of Speech, somewhere I read of the Freedom of Press, somewhere I read that the greatness of America is the right to protest for rights. And just as I...

The Democrat-dominated Connecticut legislature is seeking to create a censorship board through Senate Bill 6410 to regulate online speech. The bill would establish a board to study so-called online “harassment” of individuals, including government officials, and recommend legislation to censor free speech by the creation of reporting guidelines. The censorship board would consist of nine members, four of whom would represent the minority Republican party.

It's been 'dumped' out there that Joe Biden wears diapers all the time. I don't know the true story but let's assume it is true that Joe wears "Depends" or whatever. For starters I would say Biden's diapers have US Constitution and Bill of Rights printed on the inside. Biden dumps on them all the time his Banana Republic prosecuting Trump and arresting people on flimsy grounds like the Pro-Life activist Mark Houck found not guilty by a federal court jury. The internet censorship revealed by the Twitter Files the SOP of the Biden Administration with the journalist Matt Taibbi...

A judge in Delaware has ordered a jury trial in Dominion Voting Systems’ blockbuster lawsuit against Fox News, setting the stage for one of the most consequential defamation decisions against an American media company in decades. Lawyers for Fox and Dominion faced off in court during a two-day hearing for summary judgment last week, with each side unsuccessfully arguing the court should rule in their favor and forgo a jury trial that is expected to span weeks and could further bring to light internal discussions at the network following the 2020 election. Dominion is suing Fox for $1.6 billion in...

Santa Clara County (SCC) residents earn the title for longest duration living under the strictest COVID rules in the nation. SCC's public health department (SCC DPH) director, Sara Cody, became the face of lockdown — the spokesperson to declare the nation's first Shelter-in-Place (SIP) order on March 16, 2020. SCC was first in the nation to enter lockdown, lowest for in-person schooling, highest in restrictions, highest in punitive fines, and last to ditch school mask mandates. While frequently lauded by her proponents for touting "safety first," she knew that "the efficacy of face masks and physical distancing hadn't been established...

A Trump-supporting Twitter influencer who is charged with conspiring to deprive citizens of their right to vote in the 2016 presidential election has appeared for trial in federal court. Douglass Mackey, 33 - known on the internet as 'Ricky Vaughn' - is standing trial over his tweets encouraging Hillary Clinton supporters to cast meaningless votes by text message, instead of casting an actual ballot. Following the first day of trial on Monday, Mackey was spotted leaving the Brooklyn federal courthouse dressed in a navy suit, white shirt, and pink polka-dot tie, with his father walking at his side. During his...

The NYPD and US Secret Service are huddling to prep for Donald Trump’s possible indictment in Manhattan after the former president said he expected to be arrested Tuesday and called on his supporters to protest, law enforcement sources told The Post. The FBI, state court officers and Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office have also been kept in the loop on security discussions, with the Big Apple bracing for the worst after Trump, 76, urged his followers to “take our nation back” in light of his looming indictment, the sources said. “We will use all of our available resources,” one...

University of Alabama officials have backed off their investigation into the chalking of pro-Kanye West messages on campus after a free speech group pressed them on the inquiry. The decision comes after the public university announced in January it would investigate the chalkings by two individuals which showed support for the rapper who now goes by the name “Ye.” He has said he intends to run for president again in 2024, after running in 2020. The Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression celebrated the university’s decision to reverse course.

A former federal prosecutor said Saturday that former President Donald Trump's post on Truth Social sharing details of his arrest could affect his chances of getting bail and his conditions for release. Trump claimed on his Truth Social account that the Manhattan DA's office will arrest him on Tuesday - and branded the probe 'corrupt and highly political', calling the alleged hush money payment an 'old and fully debunked fairy-tale.' Glenn Kirschner, an MSNBC legal analyst, went on the network Saturday and compared the all-caps rant to his posts leading up to the Capitol riot on January 6, 2021 and...

It sparked no protest demonstrations or riots in the streets and none of the nine Supreme Court Justices who unanimously decided Shurtleff v. City of Boston faced protestors in their front yards or left-wing nutcases threatening them with murder. No, it was the landmark Dobbs v. Jackson Womens’ Health Organization, decided on a 6-3 count, that prompted the violence, anger, and death threats. And it is true that Dobbs, because it reversed the infamous Roe v. Wade decision and thereby returned the issue of abortion to the state legislatures, remains the fuel for all kinds of political debate and controversy. But, as...

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has been accused of attempting to create an anti-press freedom culture in his state. Proposed bills would weaken anti-SLAPP laws, make anonymous sources less credible, and require bloggers to register with the state. Critics have told Newsweek that such legislation would "chill, silence and punish those who criticize public officials and their powerful allies." DeSantis, however, says he wants to "stand up for the little guy against these massive media conglomerates." The governor has yet to confirm whether he will sign the bills into law, but if they are passed, it could trigger a Supreme Court...

Santa Clara County deployed a variety of surveillance techniques on congregants of a local church that met during COVID-19, including tracking phone location data and parking a car in a nearby lot to observe behavior, court documents reported by independent journalist David Zweig reveal. Inspectors from the county’s COVID-19 Business Compliance Unit spent a total of 51 hours conducting stakeouts near Calvary Chapel San Jose between November 25, 2020 and January 3, 2021, observing everything from Sunday services to baptisms and prayer groups, Zweig reported. Enforcement officers, who were paid $219 an hour, wrote in great detail about church activities,...

You can tell Tucker Carlson is over the target based simply on the hysterical reactions he’s gotten over the last 24 hours. That’s the story after the Fox News host began to release January 6th surveillance footage on Monday evening.Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy gave Carlson access to the footage after Democrats fought for years to keep it under lock and key. Now, we are finding out that many of the narratives spun by the January 6th committee and others were at best misleading and at worst outright false.RedState has already reported on that extensively on those revelations (click...

The FBI’s D.C. field office treated Americans exercising their right to free speech as suspected criminals, with no evidence to do so. The FBI’s D.C. field office directed the Boston office to open investigations into more than 100 Americans who had attended the Jan. 6 rally despite having no evidence those individuals had committed any crime, according to whistleblower testimony reviewed by The Federalist. This represents the second attempt by the D.C. field office to sic the FBI on innocent Americans — in this case, people who were exercising their First Amendment right to free speech. The D.C. field office pressured...

A Florida bill that would require bloggers who write about the state’s governor, Ron DeSantis, to register with the state proved a step too far even for the godfather of far-right Republicanism, the former US House speaker Newt Gingrich. “The idea that bloggers criticising a politician should register with the government is insane,” Gingrich wrote on Twitter. “It is an embarrassment that it is a Republican state legislator in Florida who introduced a bill to that effect. He should withdraw it immediately.” The bill was introduced by Jason Brodeur. It states: “If a blogger posts to a blog about an...

We’ve seen that Democrats don’t seem to understand some of the basic principles of the Constitution. Or perhaps, more accurately, don’t seem to care about complying with it.We’ve also seen that they don’t understand that Joe Biden isn’t king. He doesn’t get to declare, by unilateral fiat, the cancellation of student debt. That’s not within his Constitutional power, no matter what Democratic politicians may think. But they wanted to do it to pay off their base for their votes. So, they threw a tantrum on the steps of the Supreme Court. All they understand is that they should get to...

A Republican state senator in Florida has introduced a bill that, if passed, would require bloggers who write about Gov. Ron DeSantis, his Cabinet or state legislators to register with the state. Sen. Jason Brodeur's bill, titled "Information Dissemination," would also require bloggers to disclose who's paying them for their posts about certain elected officials and how much. "If a blogger posts to a blog about an elected state officer and receives, or will receive, compensation for that post, the blogger must register" with the appropriate office within five days of the post, the legislation says. It defines "elected state...
