We've received many requests from freepers requesting that other freepers not post to them. There are several problems with this. 1. It's impossible for us to enforce.2. We don't have the time to enforce these requests.3. We don't have the software to keep track of these requests.4. Thick skin helps.5. Ignore the poster, if you don't reply, they won't reply. Free Republic does not need a bozo filter, bozo filters are for wimps. Is FR under DOS attack again? When I am replying to posts and I hit the refresh button I'm getting ALL sorts of weird stuff--'document does not exist on server', page reloads back to original with no replies, blank pages...[cue twilight zone music while waving at WH flunkies in charge of DOS attack]...

I wrote a response to somone about Islam being a cancer on the world. I opened two rather nasty emails from people who got my email address quoting me word for word. I dont mind defending my beliefs, but I was wondering how they got my email address....

Ok, this Freepathon, like the Energizer Bunny, just keeps going on and on. What's up with that ? So here are a few reasons why this is so and I'm curious to what the problem is. My current favorites are governsleastgovernsbest for posting his great commentaries from newsbusters here (this is NOT an ad). I also like RobinMasters, he finds great articles to post. Been having a LOT of problems with connectivity with FreeRepublic. Runs very slow, sometimes drops off. Is FR getting slammed and getting overloaded, or (black helicopter time) is it a conspiracy to interfere with FR?

I've been getting a lot of "Service Temporarily Unavailable" pages this morning - and noticing the number of double- and even triple-posts, others are getting it too....

Can someone please tell me how to delete my account? A friend talked me into creating an account, but I have found this just really isn't for me. I've looked everywhere I can think of, but have yet to find a way to disable/delete my account. Any help would be appreciated.

How do I add a video to my blog posts so that they show up? I have seen some posts with videos I can watch but when I look at my previews I cannot tell if they work or not.

Given the American Conservative pot is boiling and bubbling, I wonder if the ranks of FreeRepublic are growing? Is there any way to track if the numbers of members on FreeRepublic have increased in number since the election and inauguration of President Obama? I truly believe that forums like this are necessary to the freedom of our country, and I want to be heartened by the news that, yes, the numbers of new members and activities of old members are time for the masses to peaceably assemble and get really, fires-of-Hell mad. This administration and the Liberals in this country...

Is it that I have just noticed the "Next Page" tag/link at the top of the messages, or is it something that is recent? It is really aggravating. I use an Apple most of the time and because of the screen dimensions, I see no messages because the Next-Page tag takes up so much space. Not a complaint, but just a question.

Can someone tell me where html help for Free Republic is located and the general help for posting? I located the html once, but I can't now. I wanted to learn a couple of functions like how to, in a long thread, view just two of the poster's past comments, or three. So I could quickly read the arguement between two or three posters without having to run thru the whole thread.

Today, I notice that the number of thread views is not displaying. The number of replies is. I like to see the number of views because it indicates what subjects are of most interest to FReepers at any time. For example, Palin posts get many views and gets them quick. My posts about Honduras, not so much. Did the recent outages cause the elimination of the "views" data?
