As word spread that an 8-year-old American girl was killed by a U.S. military operation in Yemen over the weekend, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer made what sounded like a departure from Obama administration policy. Spicer, responding to a question about targeted killing attacks, assured reporters Tuesday that "no American citizen will ever be targeted." The Obama administration took a different approach, drafting a 2010 legal memo justifying the targeting of an American citizen for death by drone strike. The author of the memo, David Barron, was later appointed to be a federal judge.

Twenty-five years ago, Muslim Brotherhood spiritual leader Yusuf al-Qaradwai traveled to America and unpacked his plan for a Muslim takeover that would begin one year later and take 30 years to complete. It included a key component and tactic known as Muruna... ... Dar al-Hijrah was opened in 1991 and MAS was founded in 1992, seven years before al-Qaradawi was banned from the U.S. in 1999. Elsayed did not become an Imam at Dar al-Hijrah until 2005. Yet, somehow he was able to have a seat at the table with al-Qaradawi inside Dar al-Hijrah years before becoming a leader with...

In fact just a little over ten years ago a couple of worshipers from Dar al-Hijrah drove up to this particular 7-11. They weren’t really interested in hiring the day laborers so much as getting someone to help them acquire forged identification. That turned out to be a fellow named Luis A. Martinez-Flores, himself an illegal immigrant, and he walked the two Arabs, Hani Hanjour and Khaled Almidhar, through the process of getting Virginia ID cards—after which they returned to this particular 7-11, withdrew $100 from the ATM, and handed it to Mr. Martinez-Flores. Around five years ago Michelle went...

According to data from the U.S. State Department’s Refugee Processing Center, almost all of the Syrian refugees resettled in Virginia since October have been placed in towns with lower incomes and higher poverty rates, hours away from the wealthy suburbs outside of Washington, D.C. Of the 121 Syrian refugees placed in Virginia so far, 112 have been placed in communities at least 100 miles away from the nation’s capital; 105 were placed in cities where median incomes fall below the state average. The D.C. suburban counties of Fairfax, Loudoun and Arlington are all among the nation’s wealthiest and, according...

For nearly eight years, President Obama has appointed a range of Muslim officials with terror-links to influential positions within the administration. The latest in a long line is Zaki Barzinji, whom Obama just tapped as the new associate director of public engagement for the White House. The Clarion Project notes that Barzinji worked for the Islamic Society of North American (ISNA), an organization targeted by the U.S. Justice Department as a Muslim Brotherhood affiliate and was named an unindicted co-conspirator in a major Hamas-funding trial. Oh, and Barzinji's grandfather was also a Muslim Brotherhood terror suspect. Oh, and according to...

The Baltimore mosque President Obama has chosen as the first U.S.-based mosque to visit during his presidency has deep ties to extremist elements, including to the Muslim Brotherhood. The White House announced on Saturday that Obama will visit the Islamic Society of Baltimore (ISB) on Wednesday. He has visited several mosques overseas as president but has resisted visiting one in the homeland. The purpose of the trip, according to the White House, is to "celebrate the contributions Muslim Americans make to our nation and reaffirm the importance of religious freedom to our way of life." But ISB is a curious...

The First Amendment protests the free speech rights of Americans — but apparently not those of pro-life advocates singing Christmas carols on a public sidewalk outside a local abortion business in Falls Church, Virginia. Alliance Defending Freedom sent a letter Monday to the Falls Church Police Department after two officers told several Christmas carolers to stop singing on a public sidewalk outside of an abortion business. One of the carolers captured the officers on video informing the carolers that singing is prohibited under a noise ordinance and that they must cease singing. The letter explains that police cannot use the...

A handful of House Democrats will meet early Friday afternoon at the Dar Al-Hijrah Islamic Center, a Northern Virginia mosque that has controversial ties to terrorists who have engaged in terrorist acts against the United States. For example, it was widely reported that some of the Sept. 11, 2001 hijackers attended the mosque, and that Fort Hood shooter Nidal Hasan worshipped there. Anwar al-Awlaki, who the U.S. government believes was a recruiter for Islamic terrorists, was an imam, or a prayer leader, at the mosque. Still, Democratic Reps. Don Beyer of Virginia, Keith Ellison of Minnesota, and Joe Crowley of...

The recent movement to scrub the American South of Confederate flags and names, which many view as pro-slavery symbols, has a new celebrity supporter: Julianne Moore. The Academy Award-winning actress has teamed with movie producer Bruce Cohen in launching an online petition to change the name of J.E.B. Stuart High School in Falls Church, Virginia, arguing that the name represents a "history of racism."

The inter-relational dynamics between separate Sunni Muslim groups is very difficult for westerners to understand. Consider the relationship between ISIS and Muslim Brotherhood spiritual leader Yusuf al-Qaradawi. When ISIS front man Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi declared himself Caliph of an Islamic State, al-Qaradawi denounced him; ISIS then denounced the Muslim Brotherhood, as Shoebat.com reported.Yet, the Muslim Brotherhood in Syria is reportedly standing by ISIS: A Syrian Muslim Brotherhood spokesman says attacks on the Islamic State by the United States and its allies are not the answer.“Our battle with ISIS is an intellectual battle,” Omar Mushaweh said in a statement published Sept....

FBI agents have found evidence that Chattanooga shooter Mohammod Abdulazeez was following a radical American member of al Qaeda online in 2013, as well as pages of writing that showed the young man was suicidal and looking for a way to absolve what he considered were his sins, according to a representative of Abdulazeez's family. Video tapes of Anwar al-Awlaki, the high-profile American al Qaeda cleric and recruiter, have circulated on the internet and have been popular in jihadist circles long after al-Awlaki's death by American drone strike in September 2011. ....there is no evidence so far that Mohammod Abdulazeez,...

Political Correctness: The only thing more revolting than building a mosque next to the World Trade Center would be honoring the mosque that helped the 9/11 hijackers. Yet that's just what Virginia has done. Outrageously, the Virginia state legislature has passed a Democrat-sponsored resolution "commending" the notorious 9/11 mosque — Dar al-Hijrah Islamic Center — "as an expression of the General Assembly's admiration for the" center. The Saudi Embassy-funded, Muslim Brotherhood-owned mosque is universally known by federal and local law enforcement — and even the media — as a turnstile for terrorists. Fort Hood shooter Maj. Nidal Hasan once worshipped...

Something is terribly wrong with the Virginia state legislature. On Wednesday, March 5th, in House Joint Resolution 484, the elected representatives of the people of Virginia commended the notorious, terror-tied Dar al Hijrah Islamic Center in Falls Church. Dar al Hijrah has a history of ties to multiple known and convicted terrorists, led by its former Imam, Anwar al-Awlaki, who became head of Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, before he was killed in a US air strike in 2011. It was this institution that the Virginia House and Senate agreed to commend by voice vote. This amounts to an...
