[Video transcript] Can Scientists Answer These Questions? RNA, Abiogenesis, Chemical Natural Selection & more Dr. James Tour. [Video. [More of his videos here]. [Note: this is from a synthetic organic chemist at Rice University and who and what he presents here is way out of my league, and read just a little, but think it is worth posting. Thus I used https://poe.com/ to format this* provocative transcript from the YouTube video, which was a giant wall of text.] Note also that the main body of the transcript is here, but Question number 3 was evidently mistakenly listed in the vid...

En-darkened modernists claim scientific neutrality as a general operating assumption. Two applications of modernist thought evidence this: deconstructionism (destructive criticism/critical theory) and evolution (anti-creation account/relentless change/relativism), an inverted exegesis that deconstructs and reduces man in the spiritual image of the Trinity to evolved ape. Along with evolution, deconstructionism is a form of relativism or nihilism that for more than eighty years has been spilling into and contaminating our moral and culture sustaining institutions from seminaries and Biblical scholarship to academia, law, media, arts, and politics, thence our minds, individually and collectively. (2)The origin of the neutrality principle is the Garden...

cientists have been scratching their heads for some time on how echinoderms—ie, starfish, sea urchins, and other creatures with bodies split into five equal sections—evolved from the "bilaterally symmetric" body shapes, which feature two mirrored sides, that most other animals have. Adding to the confusion is that starfish begin life as larvae with twofold symmetry, then morph into their grown-up versions. Researchers found that genes switched on in the outermost layers of one particular type of starfish, known as Patiria miniata, matched genes in acorn worms and vertebrates that are activated in those creatures' heads. Thurston Lacalli of British Columbia's...

The Bible affirms in several places that Jesus Christ is the Creator God. For example, “All things were made through him” [the Word, in Greek ὁ λόgos, = Jesus Christ] (John 1:3), and “For by him [Jesus Christ] all things were created” (Colossians 1:16).If this is true, we should expect to see some parallelism between what happened at creation and the works of Jesus during his ministry on earth. What do we find?First let us consider what kind of evidence we are looking for. Some of the essential and distinctive elements of creation, as revealed in Genesis chapter 1, as well...

This question often comes up, particularly during QA sessions at ministry events. In my experience, the type of person that usually asks this question is not, what we would call, a biblical creationist, and has subscribed to some sort of view that adds millions of years or some evolutionary process to the opening chapters of Genesis. For example, I was once invited to speak at a Christian high school as part of an origins series. Those with differing views were invited to share opinions on the creation/evolution debate. The teacher leading the meeting said that the purpose of exposing students...

Dr William Lane Craig is a well-known and respected apologist cited by many prominent Christians. So, it is shocking, for many, to hear that he is also an avid anticreationist. Craig tries to reconcile evolution with Genesis by categorizing Genesis as mytho-history—a type of theological fable that is not meant to be understood as real history. In an online interview with Sean McDowell, Craig said:“My greatest fear is that the young-earth creationist might be right in his hermeneutical claim that Genesis does teach those things that I described earlier. And I say that would be a nightmare because if that’s...

In a recent discussion on The Discovery Institute’s ID the Future podcast, geologist Casey Luskin explained that the original “98-99%” figure was derived from a single protein-to-protein comparison before the chimp genome was sequenced. Since then, we’ve gained a great deal more precision. According to Luskin, humans and chimps have about 35 million single base-pair genetic differences and five million insertion-deletion differences. Humans also have 689 unique genes not found in chimps. And while there are different ways of quantifying the differences, almost none of these ways yield the famous “98-99%” number. For example, in 2018, Queen Mary University of...

Is creation/evolution a side issue for Christians? Does it have any impact on the Gospel? We’ll provide some clarity about the links between scientific discoveries and beliefs about the creation/evolution issue.

Calvin Smith has unearthed a lie that has been in front of our eyes since primary school: most dead fish float; they don’t sink. Fossils are the result of rapid rock formations, and evolutionists know this. Now they have started to change their story and borrow from the creationist’s worldview.

In the essay, “The Paganization of Biblical Studies,” Dr. Peter Jones, Professor of New Testament at Westminster Seminary in Escondido, Calif., identifies liberalism and/or progressivism as a form of neo-Gnostic occult mystical pantheism.Occult Gnostic pantheism arose among certain Jews during the Babylonian exile so is grounded in Ageless Wisdom Teachings from the time of Babylon.

A new fossil ape from an 8.7-million-year-old site in Türkiye is challenging long-accepted ideas of human origins and adding weight to the theory that the ancestors of African apes and humans evolved in Europe before migrating to Africa between nine and seven million years ago. Analysis of a newly identified ape named Anadoluvius turkae recovered from the Çorakyerler fossil locality near Çankırı with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in Türkiye, shows Mediterranean fossil apes are diverse and are part of the first known radiation of early hominines—the group that includes African apes (chimpanzees, bonobos and gorillas),...

Does anyone remember the epic threads a few years ago about evolution? I forget the main poster but the subject would swell to a thousand or two in short order. In addition to being an interesting subject the science involved was all over the place. What I could follow. Most was over my head, but the passion was something to behold. I also enjoyed the 'rational' evolution folk countering the 'emotional' Christian side of the subject with a batch of desperate fakery. The Piltdown Man probably the most famous.

One of the devil’s greatest achievements in our age of biological science and evolutionary thinking has been to convince natural science-and-evolution worshipping Westerners to believe that all that exists is the evolving universe of matter and energy (naturalism). The only problem, and it’s a really big one because unresolvable, is that though evolutionists have tried several different anti-creation models of the universe none can account for life, conscious life, and information. Additionally, recent research has shot them full of holes, leaving evolutionists with the hated Big Bang model.

EVOLUTION: FACT OR FICTION? We’re told to believe that nothing, plus time, plus chance, equals everything. That is a fairy-tale for adults. Tragically, it’s being taught to our children. But the scientific evidence supporting Creation is now overwhelming..

It is no exaggeration to say that the highly respected psychologist, Dr. Carl Jung, is the father of neo-Gnosticism and the New Age movement, which is why Dr. Jeffrey Satinover remarked, “One of the most powerful modern forms of Gnosticism is without question Jungian psychology, both within or without the Church“. (Satinover, The Empty Self, p. 27) Because of his great influence in propagating gnostic philosophy and morals in churches and synagogues, “…Jung deserves a closer look. The moral relativism that released upon us the sexual revolution is rooted in an outlook of which (Jung) is the most brilliant contemporary...

Are biblical creationists backward folk, doing their utmost to explain away allegedly powerful scientific evidences in favour of deep time, big bang, abiogenesis (life from non-life), and neo-Darwinian evolution? That is certainly the perception among many people. For example, Richard Dawkins couldn’t resist a dig at creationists in his most recent book, Flights of Fancy:“There are still some people who don’t believe in evolution, in spite of the overwhelming evidence in its favour. They want to believe that bird and bat wings, like plane wings, are produced by deliberate creative design: design by some kind of supernatural master engineer. They’re...
