The Justice Department (DOJ) is banning smoking and all tobacco products in federal prisons, according to a final regulation to be published Monday.All federal prison inmates will be prohibited from smoking, unless they receive a religious exemption. Staff will also still be able to smoke in designated areas. Cleveland police officers lack the proper training and technology to do their jobs, according to the U.S. Justice Department. As of last year, police recruits received only four classroom hours of training on the department's use-of-force policies. And ongoing training for active officers is insufficient as well, according to the damning 58-page report that concludes the department overuses excessive force, violating the Fourth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.
