What about inclusiveness in dating? Would academics criticize people who expressed a desire to date only people of their own race? Would they criticize people who openly refused to date someone of the same sex? Would the "inclusiveness and diversity" people condemn or sanction same-race marriages? In other words, what limits would they impose to bring about inclusiveness and diversity?

Minority groups have pressured Democrats on this matter for years with little results, and some are now threatening to cut off funds if they don’t see real progress, reports Politico Playbook. A 2015 report found 93 percent of Hill staffers are white, and only one top Democrat staffer was black, although about a quarter of the party’s vote comes from black people. Other studies show a similar disparity, to the consternation of these minority groups and lobbyists, who believe Hill staff should reflect the diversity of the population they represent.

Four teenagers charged in the alleged gang rape of a 13-year-old girl will face trial, an El Paso County judge ruled Thursday at the conclusion of a multiday hearing. The beating of a 25-year-old man in South Philadelphia was caught on video, and police are seeking the public's help in identifying the perpetrators. The attack occurred around 8 p.m. on Jan. 10 on the 1200 block of South Broad Street. Police said the suspects knocked the victim to the ground, punching and kicking him several times.
