Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) defended his request to recite the Pledge of Allegiance at the start of House Judiciary sessions despite House Democrats’ ridicule of the proposal.In an interview Friday, Gaetz said the left’s insults, which were caught on a hot mic, were disheartening. He added that his proposal to start each session with the Pledge of Allegiance was simply an effort to “unify the country” and “celebrate patriotism.”

John Kerry announced Thursday that he intends to present Congress with The Downing Street Memo, reported last month by the London Times. I'm driving home from work and at the top of the hour ABC News comes on. Their lead story is allegations of prisoner abuse at GITMO. Prisoners claiming they were thrown in rat infested cages, kicked and punched repeatedly, blah, blah, blah. At the end of the story they say the Defense department denies the allegations and that there is no way to prove/validate the claims. Then why the hell is that their lead story?!? I thought the news media was supposed to report FACT not rumors and allegations.
