  • Can a lesbian feminist ever win the presidency in the future?

Serious question here. We know that the Democratic Party is the identity politics party. They like to pander to women, black, Latino, millennial, gay, white women, etc. They nominated and elected the first black man (Barack Obama). They nominated the first woman (Hillary Clinton), but failed. They'll try to run a woman or a Latino candidate, potentially. However, do you see Democrats nominating a lesbian feminist, and could that person win the presidency in the future, especially since the Left controls the media, academia, etc.?

As we grind on toward the midterms it’s beginning to feel as if there’s a new “Democratic strategy” announcement every other day. It’s almost as if they can’t make up their minds, despite the fact that history tells us they should be heading for some significant victories in congressional races. Be that as it may, McClatchy reports that there’s yet another battle plan in the works and this one caught me by surprise. Despite an endless parade of bad news stories about the President coming out on a daily basis, some Democrats would like their party to execute a bold...

It is eminently creditable to the sagacity, if not to the honesty, of the Democratic leaders that they prefer to limit discussion of the merits of their party, in the present canvass, strictly to the platform adopted in New York by their Fourth of July National Convention. For very obvious reasons, they are “dead” against dead issues. There is as much shrewdness as apparent resignation in their willingness to let “bygones be bygones.” In this prompt, business-like course there would be much to commend, if one did not see lurking behind it a very ugly fact which it is designed...

If Democrats win the House in November, 35 women are poised to lead committees and subcommittees in the next Congress — an historically high figure that would put female lawmakers in the driver's seat for some of the most pressing issues facing Congress and the country. That number would almost triple the amount of GOP women currently holding similar positions, and it would mark a measurable achievement for Democratic lawmakers looking to take the “Year of the Woman” to new heights of power. The shift also would come at the outset of a crucial 2020 presidential cycle, when Democrats want...

Forget the Russian government — foreign nationals are increasingly gaining the ability to influence American elections more directly. They’re being granted the right to vote. From Boston, where the city council is debating the move, to San Francisco, where noncitizens gained the right earlier this month in school-board elections, jurisdictions are looking to expand the boundaries of the electorate beyond its citizens.

The Left has decided that the solution to the problem of race relations in America is more racism. The Left has decided that attacking, insulting, and dehumanizing one group of people elevates another. The Left now believes there are no boundaries when telling lies, omitting the truth, or misrepresenting the facts when telling the news because their end justifies their means. The Left has now decided that its point of view is the ONLY acceptable one and that suppressing, censuring, and banning open debate is virtuous and progressive. The Democratic Party has adopted a deleterious belief system, happily and without...

The ramifications of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s stunning primary defeat of longtime Queens Democratic boss and Congressman Joe Crowley (D-NY) extend well beyond the confines of Capitol Hill. The 28-year-old member of Democratic Socialists of America—who shockingly won in New York’s 14th congressional district on a leftist platform of Medicare for All, abolishing ICE, and a federal jobs guarantee—inspired a major boost in membership for the organization on Wednesday. According to Lawrence Dreyfuss, a program associate for DSA, the organization saw a surge of 1,152 new memberships on Wednesday—about 35 times more sign-ups than on an average day. The last major membership...

The Democratic National Committee and members of Congress are turning to Hollywood for help with voter turnout and messaging ahead of the midterm elections and 2020 presidential campaign, quietly consulting with a group of actors, writers and producers here. DNC Chairman Tom Perez, several House members and other top elected officials have already met with the group, formed by members of the entertainment industry in the wake of the 2016 election, that participants liken to a TV writers’ room, complete with producers of such programs as “Veep.” The existence of the group and details of the meetings have not been...

The U.S. Supreme Court is considering a constitutional challenge to a California law targeting pro-life pregnancy centers. The so-called FACT Act requires the centers to tell clients they may qualify for subsidized abortions—a clear example of compelled speech. But such laws aren’t the only threats to the centers’ freedom of speech. At the local level, activists have begun a quiet push to protect the abortion industry through zoning. Last month the Women’s Care Center, which operates 28 pregnancy and family-resource centers in 10 states, became the latest target. A Texas-based abortion-clinic chain, Whole Women’s Health, convinced the mayor of South...

Trump’s nominee Gina Haspel Is it true that Democrats are anti-women? It certainly appears that way. Doesn’t sound like a winning formula to me, but then TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome) turns otherwise rational folks into delusional idiots. The Democrats do not want a woman to be in charge of the CIA; they are poised to resist the selection of President Trump’s nominee Gina Haspel for that job. She would be the first female to head the CIA and Democrats are opposed to her, even though she is eminently qualified.

(Full title: Donkey running on Highway 101 shot and killed by Mendocino County Animal Control officers) An aggressive 40-year-old donkey loose on Highway 101 in Hopland was shot and killed by Mendocino County Animal Control officers Wednesday at the request of the animal’s owner. The 500-pound donkey was reported running on the highway around 3:30 p.m. prompting a response from the CHP, Caltrans, the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office and animal control, authorities said. The donkey posed a threat to drivers coming around a blind corner on Highway 101, the Sheriff’s Office said in a statement. A driver was injured after...

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) hasn’t lost his ability to make Democrats mad, and once again, he has triggered an intraparty kerfuffle on social media. As we head towards the next presidential cycle, many people — on the right, the left and in the media — will be saying Democrats are in the throes of an identity crisis, a struggle for their party’s soul that will tear them apart. But they aren’t, and they won’t be. The Democratic Party screws up plenty and contains its share of idiots, but when it comes to its identity, it’s doing just fine. On Wednesday,...

The California Democratic Party decided not to endorse in the U.S. Senate contest on Saturday, an embarrassing rebuke of veteran Sen. Dianne Feinstein. Feinstein, who has represented California in the Senate for a quarter-century, is facing an insurgent bid by a fellow Democrat, state Senate leader Kevin de León. He earned nearly 500 more votes than the senator, who was first elected in 1992. De León has cultivated relationships with the party’s delegates. He still faces a significant challenge in trying to topple Feinstein, who trounces De León in all public polling and fund-raising. The party also did not endorse...

Days after the Russian indictments were handed down, Jill Stein appeared on MSNBC today to downplay Russian interference by pointing to American interference in the election. She told Alex Witt the idea there was this big Russian attempt to back her campaign to hurt Hillary Clinton is absurd, saying, “This doesn’t pass the laugh test.” She continued on to say there was “other kinds of interference,” like all the airtime the media gave Trump in 2016: “Yes, there was Russian interference, but remember, there was very compelling interference going on by way of media, by way of the DNC––did the...

The New York Times columnist David Brooks writes in a “memo” to Democratic Party leaders that their support for abortion on demand up until birth is hurting their party. Pointing out the failure of the Senate to muster 60 votes to protect unborn babies from abortion past the fifth month of pregnancy, Brooks notes, “I kept wondering: How much is our position on late-term abortions hurting us?” Taking his readers back through time before Roe v. Wade, when the Supreme Court created a right to abortion – though, as Alan Dershowitz has noted, none ever existed in the Constitution –...

Unlike the president, I don't call everything "incredible," but Trump's State of the Union address was incredible, beautifully delivered. (This guy could have a future in television!) As proof, I cite every single media outlet bitterly complaining after the speech that, as MSNBC's chyron put it: "TRUMP FAILS TO MENTION RUSSIA'S ELECTION MEDDLING IN STATE OF THE UNION." He did not address the elephant in the room! A lot of people don't like Trump, but no one was thinking that. It's only an elephant in your room, media. This is the very definition of solipsistic. What did they want him...

Widespread corruption and never ending scandals in Brazil seem to be turning that lush and large country into another Venezuela which has resulted in turmoil, pain and political chaos. Unquestionably Brazil’s current woes can be traced back to Lula and his regime of hate and socialism. He has paved the way for the corruption to a level to unseen in modern history anywhere on the planet. I was surprised, dismayed, and in total shock when I found out that the leaders of the Democratic Party have sided with Lula to save him from prison, siding with a person who is no...
