As we grind on toward the midterms it’s beginning to feel as if there’s a new “Democratic strategy” announcement every other day. It’s almost as if they can’t make up their minds, despite the fact that history tells us they should be heading for some significant victories in congressional races.
Be that as it may, McClatchy reports that there’s yet another battle plan in the works and this one caught me by surprise. Despite an endless parade of bad news stories about the President coming out on a daily basis, some Democrats would like their party to execute a bold move and… stop talking about Donald Trump.
Stop talking about Trump? Good luck with that. If you’re a Democrat looking for some earned media you can take a call from the New York Times or sit down on the set at CNN or MSNBC fully prepared to talk about these pocketbook issues. And what will the reporter or news anchor ask you about? Trump’s latest tweet, rally, allegedly offensive comment or scandal story. And if you don’t give them the incendiary answer they’re looking for they’ll keep on asking.
The latest story of the doorman is probably just the beginning of a series of Tales from the National Enquirer Crypt.
But should the Democrats be trying to focus on “taxes and health care” rather than the President? The health care option is, I’ll grant you, a bit more promising than it was a year ago according to recent polling. Perhaps it’s just a bit of nostalgia among those opposed to the Trump administration. But… taxes? You seriously want to go out and tell people you’re going to roll back the tax cuts they received? Have a party, pal. I’ll help you hand out flyers.

Fact - they have nothing else to talk about.
They are in direct opposition to Trump’s most popular promises and actions. They are in direct opposition to undeniable prosperity that Trump is responsible for.
Fact - they are the anti-Trump party. Every time they try a different spin such as Obama is responsible for the great economy it fails. They really have nothing except - abolish ICE, do not build the wall, rescind the tax cuts, disrespect the flag, celebrate Antifa, bash cops, kill jobs, and impeach 45. That is their whole platform based on what I see in the media.
For someone who was not a political animal, Trump has taken them to school.
It is certainly possible, but it is difficult for me to believe that people will go into the voting booth in November and vote against the man responsible for the prosperity that I see all around me. I see lots of people shopping, construction everywhere, help wanted signs, and lots of things I never expected to see again only a few years ago. We will see.
This was back during the peak of the Mueller-Comey "scandal" and they figured Republican turnout would be low due to Trump's troubles.
The Democrat pollsters were shocked to find that Trump's support among Republican voters in those districts was stronger in mid-2017 than it was on Election Day of 2016.
Keep in mind that this was at a time when Trump's overall approval rating was lower than 40%.

prediction Trump is going to use his tweets to troll the democrats to the point that the talking heads will still be having daily melt downs on CNN and CNBC.

The lowest common denominators are their sudden and unexpected loss of power, loss of absolute control of Americans, and raw hatred. This has reduced them to the mindless, primal reactions of a caged, rabid animal.
There are lot's of Kitchen Table topics that could appeal to the middle of the road voter, who isn't invested in the hate Trump narrative...
Keep hating Trump, keep appealing to the lunatic progressive base...That's the ticket...to VICTORY..
The endless make up spin and non stop lying about whatever their (media/Dems) minds can come up with will produce an affect.
They (media/Dems) hope it (fakery) energizes their base and sets them ablaze to stampede to the polls to vote the criminals out. That’s what they hope. (What else do they have?)
The other affect is what all this (real) bullying does in the minds of normal fair minded people. Whatever the affect will be, the media has no real way of knowing. Just might boomerang though.

If the dems were really winning, polls would be coming out left and right.
