I am not a writer but will do the best I can. I arrived about 10:30ish. Was actually surprised that I was able to find a parking space relatively close to Lee Park. In fact I thought that perhaps the turnout wouldn't be as big as I was anticipating because I didn't see much at first and I was only 5 blocks from ground zero but I was wrong. By the time I had walked one block toward the park the police presence was strong. Many in riot type gear. They had most streets and walkways blocked off funneling everyone...

On Sunday he appeared on CNN's State of the Union and accused Trump of intentionally courting white nationalists. Here's a transcript: TAPPER: You said you place blame for these terrifying events -- quote -- "right at the doorstep of the White House...

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – Attorney General Jeff Sessions issued a statement Saturday indicating a federal investigation has been opened into the events surrounding the “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville, Virginia. CHARLOTTESVILLE — A man accused of plowing a car into a crowd of protesters here — killing one person and leaving 19 injured — has long sympathized with Nazi views and had stood with a group of white supremacists hours before Saturday’s bloody crash. The accused driver, James Alex Fields Jr., 20, of Ohio, had espoused extremist ideals at least since high school, according to Derek Weimer, a history teacher. Weimer said that he taught Fields during his junior and senior years at Randall K. Cooper High School in Kentucky. During a class called “America’s Modern Wars,” Weimer said that Fields...

I was shocked reading a number of posts today about the incident in Virginia, specifically about the car crash incident. It seems to some that that car crash was the entire sum of the protest. Naturally it is now being used as a weapon against Conservatism, so it is necessary to begin to think clearly about what actually occurred and what we shouldn't be agreeing with the media on. The Federales are even launching a "Civil Rights" investigation over what the media is calling an act of "terrorism": http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/bloggers/3576716/posts?page=18#18 When you have the Feds coming in to investigate whether civil...
