A mighty sea, on right and left, or starboard-port you see The waves not high, the wind just swift, seems satisfactory. But straight ahead, the sky is dark, and from the sky are bolts The clouds are turning darker still, the horizon terror coats. The barque is tossed, the wind is sharp, the sea turns to a stew. The hands take hold, the feet are braced, by passengers and crew. Why fret this course, we’ve chosen here, we sail complacently, Why question now, our past provides, we’ll arrive assuredly. Traffic on route A1A is sluggish today, just like the economy here on Florida's Atlantic coast, south of Cape Canaveral. The state's unemployment rate is reported to be 12 percent, but people around here say they cannot believe it is that low. People are hurting here, just as they are around the country, but in the seaside towns around the Kennedy Space Center, they have extra reason. NASA is winding down the space shuttle program, which has employed thousands of people around here for 30 years -- and the Obama administration has canceled the program that would have come after...

Like putting a fox in charge of a chicken coop, Seton Hall University is allowing a pro-homosexual professor to give a course on “The Politics of Gay Marriage.” When plans for the anti-Catholic course were first announced at the diocesan university, the Most Reverend John J. Myers, Archbishop of Newark, responded. “This proposed course seeks to promote as legitimate a train of thought that is contrary to what the Church teaches. As a result, the course is not in synch with Catholic teaching,” he stated. However, despite the archbishop’s misgivings the course was not stopped. According to the New Jersey...

For retired Navy Veteran Chris Chilson, time with family is a luxury he's still getting used to. Afternoons spent together were few and far between during his 20 years on board aircraft carriers, some of them spent in the searing heat of the Iraqi desert. Chilson says, "It...
