A Thurston County judge ruled against a motion that would bar former President Donald Trump from being on Washington presidential primary ballot. Judge Mary Sue Wilson heard arguments Thursday morning at the county courthouse before deciding the state statute the lawsuit cited in its motion does not apply to her jurisdiction. RANCHO CUCAMONGA - The governor appointed a gang prosecutor to a San Bernardino County judgeship Thursday. Gregory Tavill, who is known around the Rancho Cucamonga courthouse for his pleasant demeanor and general fairness, will be sworn in next week. "I'm thrilled," Tavill said Thursday. "I'm truly grateful the governor has confidence in me, and I'm happy to be able to continue serving our community." SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - A state agency removed a judge from the bench Wednesday, concluding that he engaged in "a shocking abuse of power" that led to the wrongful conviction and two-day jail stay for a woman challenging a traffic infraction.
