As school boards across the country have faced increasing backlash from parents over the past year, they have asked President Joe Biden to step in, suggesting that those parents who oppose their curriculum and Covid-safety mandates are like domestic terrorists who are guilty of hate speech.

Spain rebuffed Washington's appeal to refuse military sales to Venezuela, saying Friday it will sell the South American nation military boats and jets. The United States has refused to grant a re-export license for the U.S. components of the Spanish aircraft and patrol boats that make up a proposed $2 billion deal, the Financial Times reported. In addition, the United States has asked Spain not to supply Caracas with arms. But late Friday Spanish state radio quoted Defense Ministry sources in Madrid as saying the big military deal would go ahead and substitute technology would come from European sources.

"The Congressional committees which once investigated Communist activity were abolished in the mid-1970's. Since then, the FBI has been forbidden to investigate domestic communists or keep them under surveillance unless there is evidence that a crime has been committed. As a result, on-going FBI investigations of communist activity in America dropped from 24,414 in 1973 -- to -- 51 in 1983.
