Land Day turned violent Friday when Arabs began hurling Molotov cocktails and stones at soldiers near the Kalandia checkpoint north of Jerusalem. The riots began after Friday afternoon Muslim prayers – often a starting point for violence – when dozens of masked Arab youths began rioting at the checkpoint. Soldiers responded with teargas and deployed the "Skunk" – a vehicle loaded with canons spraying a noxious-smelling liquid. A machine that transmits high frequency sound waves was also employed. Israel Radio reported several protesters were lightly injured in the clashes and taken to the hosptial. Hamas parliament member Ahmed Atoun was...

A worldwide pro-Israel Christian ministry is concerned about today's "Global March to Jerusalem." The Times of Israel reports that Arab and international protestors from 80 countries are taking part in today's Global March to Jerusalem to show their solidary for the Palestinian cause. According to Bill Sutter, executive director of The Friends of Israel (FOI), some bad actors are involved. "There are some horrible connections with Hamas, with Hezbollah [and] with Iran," he lists. And one of the leaders in the march is none other than President Barack Obama's former pastor, Jeremiah Wright.

The Arabic-language newspaper al-Arabiya reported on Tuesday that the Obama administration has offered to release Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman to Egypt. Abdel Rahman is the infamous “Blind Sheikh†who was convicted in 1995 for masterminding a terrorist war against the United States that included the 1993 World Trade Center bombing and a plot to bomb New York City landmarks. According to the late Osama bin Laden, al-Qaeda’s founder, Abdel Rahman is also responsible for the fatwa — the necessary Islamic edict — that green-lighted the 9/11 attacks. The alleged offer to release Abdel Rahman is said to be an effort...

The trial of 16 Americans and 27 others opens Sunday at a Cairo courthouse in what critics say is a politically charged case linked to a government crackdown on nonprofit groups that has touched off the deepest crisis in U.S.-Egyptian relations in decades.

President Obama was greeted with wild applause and shouts of “We love you!” from thousands of adoring supporters as he took the stage at the Nob Hill Masonic Center on Thursday night. But then, there were those two very vocal women in the pink slips lead away by the cops. Chalk up another appearance by Nancy Mancias of CodePink – the women’s group opposed to the United States’ involvement in wars. She stood as Obama was speaking about killing Osama bin Laden and began protesting the administration’s use of drone attacks. With her was another veteran CodePinker, Janine Boneparth, another...

On particularly prominent display here is the use of the Orwellian "reconciliation meetings," where "reconciliation" depends in practice on Christians' giving into whatever demands are imposed on them. "Alexandria: forced eviction of 62 Coptic families by the Salafis," from AsiaNews, February 9: Cairo (AsiaNews / Agencies) - The radical Muslims are trying to empty a village near Alexandria of its Coptic population - 62 families, on the basis of unfounded allegations against a Copt. The Copts of Kobry-el-Sharbat (el-Amerya) were attacked on Jan. 27 by a crowd of some three thousand Muslims led by Salafi leaders who set fire to...

The vehemently anti-war group is organizing a slew of events this weekend in opposition to the United States' Israel policy, to coincide with the annual conference of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee. Ahead of the protests, a Code Pink activist suggested the group -- at least when it comes to Israel -- is actually on the same page as Paul, a libertarian and one of the first candidates to enter the race for the GOP presidential nomination. "The Ron Paul people are closer and closer to our talking points with each election," Code Pink activist Liz Hourican told FoxNews.com.

The Muslim Brotherhood comes up with a neat trick to break the peace treaty with Israel without formally doing so. Egypt’s next likely ruling party says it simply will hold a plebiscite and let the people do it. Rashad Bayoumi, deputy Supreme Leader of the Brotherhood, told the London-based newspaper Al-Hayat on Sunday it respects international treaties and will leave the issue of the peace treaty in the hands of the people. The pact was signed by then-Egyptian president Anwar Sadat and Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin, but a "cold peace" has set in over the past several years.

Yes, Ron Paul has a bead on revamping or dissolving the Federal Reserve (I did read The Creature From Jekyll Island). Lots of corruption, secret undertakings, and opacity dominate the Federal Reserve, but what would be the alternative? A presidential, or congressional commission that oversees the U.S. banking system? No. Elected representatives overseeing the quasi government agency Fed? Not likely. Governments, for eons of time, have been in charge of the coinage, and it cannot be any other way. The Buck does Stop there.Ron Paul has no alternative to the Fed that would guarantee fairness and honesty. Ron Paul...

According to the Spanish daily ABC, a Libyan rebel commander who played a key role in overthrowing the rule of Muammar Qaddafi previously participated in the May 2010 attempt to break the Israeli blockade of Gaza aboard the Turkish-owned vessel the Mavi Marmara. The operation famously culminated in a deadly clash between Israel Defense Force commandos and “activists” armed with iron rods and knives aboard the ship. The paper’s source for the story is the rebel leader himself: Mahdi al-Harati, the commander of the so-called Tripoli Brigades, which are widely credited with having played a decisive role in the rebel...

Let’s figure out what the voting in Egypt means in concrete terms. What we have so far are these results for one-third — the most liberal one-third! — of Egypt: Muslim Brotherhood — 37 percent Al-Nour (Salafist) — 25 percent Egyptian bloc (mainly the Free Egyptian party) — 14 percent Wafd (liberal, but willing to work with Brotherhood) — 8 percent Al-Wast (Moderate Muslim party) — 4 percent The remaining votes went to small parties. (Here is a remarkable set of graphs analyzing the first round of the election.) Most importantly, 112 seats in the lower house of parliament —...

The United States is encouraging Egypt’s military rulers to stick to a schedule of elections set to kick off next week, despite continuing violence – and despite the likelihood that the electoral timetable favors the Muslim Brotherhood and other Islamist movements. The Obama administration is in essence caught between two unpalatable options: pressing ahead for elections that the Islamists are likely to win, and thereby sounding like a force for Egypt’s democratic transition; or recommending a postponement that a growing number of liberal Egyptians prefer, but which risks coming across as anti-democratic. Egypt’s transitional military rulers announced Wednesday that parliamentary...

During the '08 Popularity Contest, many Conservatives tried to warn the country about the future Chairman Obama's collection of mutants that were his followers. There was Frank Marshall Davis, the commie who was his father figure. There was Jeremiah Wright, the Black Liberation theologian who couldn't decide who he hated more, "them Jews" or "Amerikkka". Calypso Louie Farrakhan, the afro-fascist extrodinaire who heads the New Black Panther Party, gave Obama two thumbs up, as did the freaks at the $oros-funded Moveon.Dork and the Con Artists Formerly Known As ACORN. Unfortunately, America didn't listen to the Conservative Movement. The Republican candidate,...

To what extent was Egypt’s Maspero massacre, wherein the military literally mowed down Christian Copts protesting the ongoing destruction of their churches, a product of anti-Christian sentiment? A video of Egypt’s grand mufti, Sheikh Ali Gomaa (or Gom’a), which began circulating weeks before the massacre, helps elucidate. While holding that Muslims may coexist with Christians (who, as dhimmis, have rights), Gomaa categorized Christians as kuffar — “infidels” — a word that connotes “enemies,” “evil-doers,” and every bad thing to Muslim ears. After quoting Quran 5:17, “Infidels are those who declare God is the Christ, [Jesus] son of Mary,” he expounded...

Bishop Anba Stephanos (Orthodox Coptic) of Beba and Elfashn Christians in Egypt are currently experiencing their worst time in recent centuries. This statement was made by the Coptic Orthodox Bishop Stephanos of Beba and Elfashn to the international Catholic charity Aid to the Church in Need (ACN). Christians are being violently killed under the eyes of the international media. Also, for the first time in many years, churches are being systematically burned and destroyed. The police are taking no action and nobody is punished for it. In the Egyptian media, “the facts are systematically covered up in order to...

“You’ve got to give it to Ron Paul," Palin said. "Whether you agree with everything he says or not, at least he is one there in Congress trying to make our President stick to the law and understand that Congress does have a role to play in these foreign policy decisions that are made and Ron Paul, I think hit the nail on the head, when he came out and said Obama had better be careful when he interjects himself and our country in other nations’ business.”

In our continuing coverage from last Saturday’s anti-war protest and march organized by the left-wing ANSWER Coalition, Code Pink, and the Gay Liberation Network, we have more alarming video to share. Alarming, but not surprising, given our footage of the same groups’ joint demonstration last March. Organizers and protesters from Occupy Chicago joined these groups and provided support to last Saturday’s anti-war gathering. The protest carried a strong anti-Israel/anti-America message, a theme that both served as a rallying cry for the day and, more ominously, a call to action for the organization of massive
