FORT HUACHUCA -- Chief Warrant Officer Christopher G. Nason is the first fort soldier to die in Iraq. Nason, 39, was a passenger in a vehicle that was struck head on by a civilian tanker truck Sunday on a road between Mosul and Dihok in northern Iraq, said post spokeswoman Tanja Linton. According to the initial accident report, the vehicle Nason was in attempted to pass another vehicle when the accident happened, Linton said.
